Indri
I'm looking for a six point SCCA approved rollbar (half cage) for my 73 240. I'd like to find someone who can build them or one that is already built near southern Indiana. Thanks!
cruceno21
I am in north central Indiana... and I would be interested if someone is making a half cage and we can order two of them. Keep me in the loop if you hear of someone who makes them easily for us.
Indri
Will do man. Its a shame these cars aren't as abundant in our area - everything seems to be on the west coast.
johnc
Both Kirk Racing and Autopower sell SCCA Solo1 and 2 legal four point roll bars. A local welder should be able to add the two additional mounting points.
Indri
Seems like most of those run >800 + shipping. I was hoping to find a local fabricator who can do it for cheaper. If I can't find anyone local, it looks like I'll have to pony up the cash. Thanks for the leads though. Any experience with these guys? ZUL8TR
You guys should check with the shops along Gasoline Alley in Indy. Lots of race shops there that do this sort of thing. Also check over in Brownsburg in the Nitro Alley area. There is a shop over there that builds midgets, etc. They might be able to point you in the right direction. heck, they may even do it themselves. They have all the bending, cutting & welding equipment in their backroom. Sorry, can't remember the name of the shop, but just a few buildings from John Force and Prudhome. If you have a local welder that can do the work, you can get material from A.E.D. Motorsport Products in Indy. Raw material to the motorsport industry is what they do for a living. Give them a call and they may refer you to a local shop that can help you out. Their # & web: 317-334-0569 www.aedmotorsport.com. Hope that helps! Don't forget to follow-up with info on what you end up doing.
Indri
Thanks! I'll look into this route. I may have a lead here in Evansville, I'm going to try and follow it through first. If that fails, it's off to Indy! Cruceno, you may be closer (Indy is a four hour drive for me).
