Vented rear rotor suggestions...

Recommended Posts

I got a set of 4 piston wilwood calipers/adaptors I'm fitting to the rear of my 72 240Z. I'm in the process of centering the calipers over the 300zx rear rotors...and while I'm at it I thought I would try to fit a set of vented rotors. Does anyone know of an OEM (from whatever) vented rotor that will fit over my stock 4 lug rear hubs? Thanks!

Good news and FYI. I found a set of '85 front Maxima vented rotors will work perfectly for my rear 4 piston Wilwood upgrade. Had to reduce the diameter of the hub face slightly...now the rotors fit as well as centering tightly over the hub center.

Here are some pics of the rear Wilwoods/Maxima vented rotors...

Removed just enough from hub face diameter to clear inside of rotor hat area.

This shows the mock-up of the 1/4" steel caliper bracket and 3/8" aluminum spacer...I still have to finish off the spacer. Also, a shameless plug for my FJ40 .

Centering over rotor works well with this setup.

These are the BBS's I'll be using. They need refinishing as well as so many other parts :). Wheel clearances are all good.

I didn't have to do anything to the rotors or calipers...they should drop right in place now. We'll see...this is all new to me and I'm on a serious learning curve.
