Tools were limited so it's not the best work, but it is functional. This alternater actually fits in the space much better and I now have room to properly adjust the belt instead of having to use one that is too small just so the alt doesn't hit the frame when the engine torques! Tools included a torch, welder, side grinder and old corded drill. Sorry the pics aren't that great...

A couple of comments...

1) If you take out 50-75% of the photos out of this post I think you'll get your point across more concisely. There are a lot of blurry and redundant photos in this thread.
2) Some pictures of the final installation would be appreciated, but only AFTER step 1 is complete. ;)
3) Awesome that your daughter is wrenching with you!

Sorry for the redundancy, I accidentally added the same photo more than once a couple of times. I have deleted them. I took the pictures with my phone so they aren't the best. Again, sorry.

I tried to show a progression of how it went together and included a pic of each step. Here are a few of it installed. Sorry everything is so dirty, it has been driven in the rain quite a bit since the install... :ugg:

Nice work on the bracket!, I should do the same thing. Great work with the big eyed cutie. She should be in the "Post your photography" section!

Thanks for the compliment Steve. The alternator is better all the way around. It is a one wire hookup and light wieght with high speed bearings. Plus it puts out 105 amps!!

Yeah, shes gonna be a heart breaker! I may have to put a lock on the outside of her bedroom door in a few years... She definately loves helping Daddy though!!

Thanks guys!

The alternator is just an aftermarket, Chevy style, one wire. It is much smaller though with high speed bearings in it. So far it has really made a difference in my charging system too!!
