eggy Posted September 7, 2013 Share Posted September 7, 2013 I have a 1974 260z and the clutch grabs and holds in first gear and it slips in all the others. Any ideas why it does this? Standard test for bad clutch: put car in fourth, rev it and try to take off. Fourth, not first. You slip in fourth? Bad clutch. Replace it. Really!
