I have a stock radio / cassette player that I pulled from a 1983 turbo car I would be willing to let go. The radio worked when I pulled it, but I did not think to throw a cassette in the player. So while I cannot guarantee the cassette player works, everything else on the unit was working before I took it out of the car. Again, this radio / cassette is from a 1983 turbo.

I took mine off of 2 cars with a dull wood chisel. It was stiff enough to get under the tar but not too sharp that it "cut" into the metal. Took some elbow grease though. Oven cleaner or metal prep and a green 3M pad to get the last little bits off.

Yup, that stinks man. I know your pain. When I bought my 76 it was because it only had a couple of rusty spots on the floorboards. Well, 4 yrs later I am mostly done with the extensive rust repair of this vehicle; floors, doglegs, rear inside fenders, batterybox and firewall, both front rockers, etc, etc. I should have known better. Amazingly the rails were completely rust free. Wierd.

I have found my engine bay!! That is exactly what I want to end up with. I 5 different intake manifolds to use for my turbo engine and could not decide the direction to go in. There is definitely something to be said for clean and simple. That is nice.

76 280Z with a blown engine and mostly rust free I scored for $160 about a year ago. I think it was silver. Just purchased an 83 ZXT 2+2 for the donor swap. Don't worry about sacrificing a good ZXT for a donor motor, this car had to be the most completely rusted out car that I have ever seen. As I was pulling the car onto the trailer the tow/tiedown hook ripped off and took the bumper and most of the radiator core support with it. My goal is to be driving this beast to the 2008 Walter Mitty at Road Atlanta.
