  1. OK, here's the low down. I bought my s30 w/ L28e NA a couple months ago, P.O. said it was rebuilt, (which i believe since it doesn't leak at all) supposedly the head had a 3 angle valve job and aftermarket cam, but he couldn't tell me what brand or any specs. I do believe that it has a cam just by the sound of it, and it performs well on top end. it also has what looks like aftermarket injectors or maybe they are from another vehicle, but they definitely look bigger than stock. The car ran like **** until I bought a FPR and wideband. I tuned the FPR to 55 psi which put idle AFR at 14.8, but at WOT it goes as rich as 10.9! What could be done about this? I'm thinking about throwing a factory L28 turbo setup on it and adjust the fuel to match, or should I buy Megasquirt and tune for that cam? Another question is how do I find out what cam is in my L28? Thanks for any advise!

  2. thanks, the headlights are a HID conversion that i found on ebay. I actually went to tech school and learned alot about collision and refinishing and a few other things in 2005, then worked as a body man/ painter for 2 years until I joined the army. So I have about 4 years experience, plus i still do paint on the side to make extra $$

  3. its an original black car but i dont know if its a black pearl. your right, i would like to get it in the air soon so i can inspect more thoroughly, but i have jacked the car up and i cant find any rust. ive already ordered a full energy bushing kit, hopefully it wont kick my ass too bad lol

  4. just picked up this rust free 1975 280z and am lovin it!

  5. even though im in the process of doing a v8 swap, I enjoyed the L28 alot. it had an nice aggressive exhaust note for a stock motor, also i bought my s130 for $800 with 270,xxx miles on it, put a new battery in it and flush all the fluids, then drove almost 1000 miles round trip without a problem. it was still running strong when i pulled it out, just smoked a little. i am about to purchace a '75 280z and plan to keep the L28 in it and one day through some ITB's on it, 250hp and ill be happy!

  6. it actually sits pretty low, any lower and the oil pan will be resting on the steering rack. moving it forward shouldn't make a difference. its just the damn crown vic intake design, puts the TB right on top  Mustangs are the same just opposite side.

  7. I've been working on the engine mounts for the past couple weeks and finally got the 4.6 held in place. I didn't take many pics of the mounts before I bolted them in place so I'll take some more detailed pics after I pull the motor back out.

  9. Ive been working on the transmission crossmember for a couple days and finally finished it today. I used a flux core welder :( , but hopefully will be able to afford a TIG welder after income taxes...

I know the welds dont look the best, but its flux core so pretty much impossible to make them look awesome. The welds do have good penetration so im not worried about them failing.
