  1. went down to a local hydraulic shop and couldn't find a match if its not NPT JIC BMO ( cant remember the abbreviation) then what is it? its odd that i couldn't find what i needed as i was able to find the the fittings needed to run new oil cooler lines from here
  2. thanks for the link only need the bolt/plug to stop all the leaks now I thought i flooded it to, but even after taking out the spark plugs over night she still wont fire. the well snapped off, so it would no longer be a "dry hole" and with the way the sensor is designed oil will pass through with no issue. Thus i need something to thread into the hole with and no i wont take the oil pan off at this moment.
  3. I seem to have some spare time as of late and what better way to spend it under the Z? I finally set the timing, swapped a few parts and she fired right up idling great unlike when i got it. now that it runs i have started to fix several leaks/issues through out the car. So on to where i need help from you guys.... 1. i would like to plug the oil temp sensor port on the oil pan but my auto parts store doesn't seem to carry the right type of threaded bolt. -what threaded bolt is needed to plug the hole? 2. I have a horrible exhaust leak where the turbo mates to my 2.5" MSA down pipe and once again the parts store doesnt have the gasket or any gasket that would work. -anyone know the part # needed? or if a gasket from another car would fit? 3. Before draining the oil and fixing the leaks I decided to do a compression test that had good results. I did what i would do to my 92 Daytona and unplugged the CAS and coil in hopes of eliminating fuel for the test. Forgetting to plug the CAS back in after the test i tried starting the car (everything else was plugged in). PLugged it back in and thinking it would fire right up it let me down! Instead it now just keeps cranking and cranking and at times it would sputter only to die seconds later. -what did i break? any help would be greatly appreciated as once these issues are resolved the real fun will begin!
  4. thank you for the info. As it turns out there is a o ring gasket. Sadly my local parts store does not carry a replacement o ring gasket. Would anyone know if this adapter plate shares the same gasket as a newer model car? maybe then the parts store would have it
  5. going through the oil leaks that I'm finding on the car and this "plate" that the oil filter and oil cooler lines go to just doesn't seem right. It is leaking very badly and would like to solve the issue. First and for most there is only one bolt hole to attach it to the block. Secondly you can plainly see that there was something else on this block from before. is this set up ok? am i missing some form of a gasket perhaps?
  6. i have an 81 Ld28et installed into my 75 280z and im looking to find what a certain sensor is and does.... looking at the diagram of the thermostat housing on page 17 in the efi bible (link) http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/efisystem/280zfuelinjectionbook.pdf what is the sensor directly above the thermotime switch and what does it do? there doesnt seem to be a listing of it in the link above or in my haynes manual.
