these are 2.5in springs right? so if the spring rates arent what people are looking for they could pick up a set of hyper coils or something down the road?
-
Id imagine you could contact any other place that does custom 3 piece wheels and see what it would cost to have it drilled w the bolt pattern you need, probably one of the more expensive
-
definitely good info, thats kind of what i was coming to with urethane, they would be too expensive, and i feel like the cracking in cold weather wouldn't be a huge issue, i don't think too many of us drive our cars when its THAT cold out.
edit: more good info, from my friends build...
"About 90% of the way through the install i discovered that these are made from a thermoplastic material, not thermoset. Urethane is a thermoset meaning it cannot be liquefied and still retain it's original properties. That said, the flares are ABS and are very easily molded with heat."

Just curious, what did he do about the gas filler flap?
he shaved it, has a fuel cell in the trunk...

Abs plastic flares...on a z?
sure, if they look the same and are much more durable, why not??
edit: a few examples from a friends e30 build
his source...

yeah, all of that would be taken into consideration before i had anything made, i know plenty of cars running abs plastic flares with zero issues.
-
I'm thinking around 250, I contacted a few local places about getting them made. Ill keep ya guys posted.
-
what would people be willing to pay for these?
-
yeah pull the valve apart and check the diaphragm also, your running two of them?
-
pic of what i need for clarification

i need the shorter of the 2 guides for the driver side window (i think pass side would work too) its the one that connects to the one arm on the regulator.

awesome build man. i was just on diamond racing's site last week thinking how those wheels would look on a z.

Coilovers: EMUSA vs. Megan

Exactly, and that's really the only complaint I here with the emusa coils, so get some softer springs and call it a day. Iv had adjustable coilovers in the past and never really even adjusted the dampers....
