I have 280z with a stock engine and want to get better sound out of it and was thinking of just putting in a flowtech red hot muffler to the stock exhaust. Any thoughts or suggestions for or against this? I'm a complete newb and would be thankful for any advice, thank you.

I think I'm going to go with the NGK's for now to keep it cheap since I'm doing a whole tune up and having a project in college is harsh lol.

No it wasn't wide open. I think the car has about 178k so I guess it's not too bad. I just recently picked up the car because th body is pretty straight.

I'm very new to car stuff and just got a 280z. I'm young and need advice. i just did a compression ratio on the car and all cylinders were between 140 and 145. Is this a normal range? Also the car seems to be running a little rich. I'm going to try and clean the fuel injectors with a treatment. Is there any recommendations of one that has worked for you? I was thinking of using seafoam.

So I have a friend who is stationed in Japan and said he could find me an rb25 to put in my 280z. He found one at a junkyard with the ecu/harness, axles, and pretty much everything I need to do the swap except for the mounts for only 500 bucks. I was wondering if anyone would tell me how much it would cost to get it shipped here. I live in Portland, Oregon so it's right on the pacific. Also any other mods I would have to do to make it fit. Thanks!

Would the good tires add to any value? I paid an extra 200 bucks for this car with these wheels and tires on it from the seller.

I have a set of 14" iron cross wheels and was wondering if anyone on here could tell me what they are worth. I want to get rid of them to save some cash up to restore a whole on the bottom. I'm new here so I hope this is the right place to ask. They have been painted a grey or graphite and look flawless. They are also mounted on Falken performance tires that have about 80% left.

So for some reason my 280z shut off on me when i was almost home. I turned it back on again but it shut off again because it won't idle. I turned it on again and gave it a little gas and it held steady after that at about 900 rpm. I got it in the garage but when I tried to take it back out again it would start but die right away becasue it wouldn't idle. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?
