HI,
I am slowly going through a 240 that I bought. I did my valves the other day and noticed a few things that I had a question about,
1) My cam has a orange stripe painted between the third and fourth lobe. A friend of mine suggested that it is a performance cam, as that is the way they used to mark them.
I wanted to ask if this is true, and also, how do I find out what grind it is and what to set the valve clearance at? (car has been sitting up for years, right now I am just trying to get it to run right, haven't really heard a good
idle yet.)
2) If you look in the picture below, a part of the spray bar has broken off on the far left. I took the picture prior to this discovery, so if you look close you can even see the piece sticking up about an inch away from rotating
parts. Anyway, is there a way to reattach this piece or can I do away with the spray bar all together?? what are my options? Lobes 11, and 12 look very dry compared to the others, so i'd think the spray bar is necessary, but
let me know.
Thanks

I just got this 240z. It's a 1970 with a 00655 vin . Car needs a lot of work and it's going to take me a while. Anyway's it
came with some wheels, the PO claimed that they were original, but I have not seen them on any z before. My question is, are
these original, if not are they worth anything?
Thanks

cool thanks for the support fellas, i had a few zs in the past but i would just fix them and sell them and now i got stuck with the civic because of the gas mileage and i am itching to get behind the seat of a clean z. The civic is great car and i will hate to see it go but only for a decent z. Thanks everyone for reading. And yeah this would have to be somewhere on the east coast (Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia are feasible for me)

Hi I have a 1992 Honda civic hatchback for an s30. My civic is painted with the 350z daytona blue color and it has 16" rota subzero flat black wheels. The engine is a JDM B16 car runs and drives great cold A/C. Lots of extras. I will post pictures soon. I would really like a 240z but i'll take any s30 i would expect the car to be in good shape with minimal rust.
Camshaft question

rossman , when you say that the cam is toast, what do you mean by that? Is the engine not going to run properly, at all, or what are you implying by toast? I see that the lobes have not been oiled as needed, at the same time
however I don't see why the engine would not run with this cam. Either way I will put on a new spray bar, if I can find one.
