A friend of mine actually knows the guy who painted the car. Supposedly it was just painted last year and was done in a proper booth by a pro. I'll get the guys number this weekend and find out. Picking up an 88' Chevy 350 with a 700r4 this weekend for the car. It has TBI right now but i may switch it to carb for simplicity. Gordon

Before you look at the picture I have to tell you that this car runs like its brand new... shifts almost perfect... has new brakes all around... new bfg tires... new clutch... power windows... custom paint job... WORKING A/C!!... maybe 1% rust on the entire thing. And it came like this to me for only $300 cash... yup you read that right The only bad thing about this car is the interior and the speedo doesn't work (odometer does, has 155,000 KMS) but i have some help on the forums already to switch my interior over to black. I'll have to get a video of this car running at some point. I want to put a V8 in the car but i'm not sure i can bring myself to ditching this perfect engine.... or can i vroooom vrooom... haha Man this car puts a smile on my face everytime i see it or drive it. Oh ya forgot... it's a 1981 NA 280zx. ok ok ... heres the picture for you.

That is a sweet car man... excellent choice of drivetrain. Did you have to do anything special to the engine to keep it from overheating? I've only ever owned 1 chevy 400sb and it always overheated on me when i pushed it hard (it was in a 87 camaro). Gordon

I am looking for the following parts for my 81 280zx : Speedometer in KM's & miles per hour - don't care what color as long as it works haha Hatch struts - black Seatbelts (all 4) with latches - black Windshield wiper arm with intermittent wipers. Door locks and hatch lock with key... can't lock the car, no keys (ignition was changed) I am located in Canada and i'm armed with Paypal Gordon

I don't know anyone in the USA I'm likely going to use a front plate anyhow... soooo much cheaper and easier. Trying to nail down which engine to buy though... 82 chev 1/2 ton 350 and T350 trans or a 86 suburban 350 and 700r4 trans. Both have about 180,000 KMs on them (no idea how many miles that is). I'd like the OD trans but i hear they are not as strong as the T350's are and shift kits are cheap for the T350's. This car might see 100 kms a yr of highway use.

I'm a little leary on buying from JTR, I have emailed them twice about the shipping cost to Canada for the kit and have gotten no response either time.... has anyone had a bad experience with JTR or are they just super busy and don't have time to email?

I have searched everywhere on this forum and the web... can someone please tell me what generation this M90 is? Are these oil lubed by the engine or are they sealed units? I went to look at this one and it had oil coming out of one of the holes on the bottom so it got me wondering if its a dry charger or wet charger. Any info on this would be nice.. i plan to put this on my 81 280zx 2.8L FI engine... somehow haha. Thanks, Gordon

Does the JTR manual show the dimensions of the engine mounts so i can make them myself or does it just show pictures of them? I have a plasma cutter, welder, chopsaw, etc so making them is easy just need the measurements. Thanks

This car is going to be 90% track car so i'm not worried about the vibrations. All I want to know is if anyone has done it using an engine plate and how it worked out.
