  1. Hey all, I am installing a z32 trans behind my l28 and was hoping to keep the stock gauges. Does anyone know if a conversion is available to convert between the speedo cable and the z32 sensor? Thanks
  2. Hey All, I am installing a z32 NA trans to match up with my L28. I'd like to figure out a way to read the output of the digital sensor and convert it to mechanical so I can keep my stock gauges. Are there any products for this? Thanks!
  3. Isn't their a drain bolt on the bottom of the fuel tank? I was going to try emptying that and the carb bowls. Should I try adding seafoam to the tank?
  4. Hey All, My Datsun has been sitting at a body shop for the better part of 7 years. I drove it there but it has not run since. When I get it back in a few weeks, what is the best way to clean out the fuel system? I didn't know to use a fuel stabilizer at the time, so I'm afraid its brought havoc upon my fuel tank, carbs, lines, etc. Thanks
  5. Hey All, I am looking for a P90 head or a l28et motor. I am located in NE Ohio and will drive for local pickup within reason or pay shipping. Let me know what you have! Thanks
  6. lol. I cut my fenders yesterday, i'm happy with the look. 4.5" and 3.5" lips
  7. The offset is perfect. There is about 3/4" of backspace before my coilovers.
  8. I am painting the fenders with the car, so it's all got to be done at the same time. I am probably going to fiberglass them in at the paint shop, the ebay flares that is.
  9. I can't really wait that long either. I have to have my car at the shop on Saturday. I might use the flares I have and twist them so that the curvature fits the lip and fender. Then I could fill the top seam/gap with body filler. I think that's the plan now.
  10. Thanks. I messaged him earlier yesterday, but I think someone else has already bought them.
  11. I don't think 2 degrees would put the tire under my fender. Can you post pics of your setup? My wheels are 15x10 et-6 225 50s. No slotted struts or camber plates, but there is some natural negative camber already.
  12. This is screwing up my schedule. I'd really like a pair of Shoukai Zg flares, but I can't wait 5 weeks. My car is supposed to be at the paint shop next Saturday...
  13. I just finished installing coilovers on shortened strut tubes with new wheels. I was going to use ZG flares, so I bought some cheap ones on Ebay and I guess you get what you pay for. They look terrible and I am not putting them on my car. That got me wondering if I could maybe do without flares and just roll them somehow. My car is going in for paint next Saturday, so I'm hoping to find a solution before then. Here are pics of how the wheels look now. They are 15x9 and 15x10 with 205s and 225s. I should mention that my rear tires are touching the fenders now. I am using Koni struts and they are really short. In cutting and using zg flares, this wouldn't be a problem, but rolling them is probably not going to make enough room.
  14. I did section the rear strut but I only took off about 1.5". I am also using a 1.25" spacer. The problem was those 26" tall tires. I'll look into some of those other tires eventually. Right now I am going to use Kuhmo Ecsta's ASTs all around. They are about $65/ea and H rated. I think they'll do the job fine for now. My Z hasn't been on the road in 3 years, so i'm just looking forward to getting it back to that state. It goes in for paint on the 18th.
  15. Thanks for the preloading advice. I didnt mean loosening the gland nut though, I meant the nut at the top of the strut. The one that threads through the strut top. Does this have to be torqued down to the end of the threads? Also, I am sending the 275 50 15's back and am going to install 225 50 15s. That should give me another 2" of room.
