  1. I never have. They are not very prone to leaking on the L. BUT, you should because they are like $10 and easy once the tranny is out. If it starts leaking in 5k miles you will be kicking yourself. It is behind the flywheel. Little ruber looking thing that goes around the crank.

  4. you might gain hp with all that.....In reality you have nothing to improve the efficiancy other than the porting. Which might not do anything anyway. The factory TB is not even a restriction till you are well over 400hp. Now if you Nistune the z31 ecu and the car is dyno tuned with additional boost even without an intercooler you could see as much as 250whp I would think. I know another member here did 235ish whp with no intercooler and a JWT z31 ecu.
  5. You seriously think an electric fan will flow more than the OEM fan? I dont think there is enough alternator on the car to run enough fans to flow as much as the OEM fan. I would bet that thing moves 5000-7000 cfm, maybe more. Especialy with the shroud.....

  7. This is 100% crap. Mechanic - school/education 25-50 thousand dollars + 50-100 thousand dollars in tools and diagnostic equipment. YEARS of experiance! You come in, need a new timing belt on your car. Book calls for 3.5hrs. Mechanic as the specialty tools and the experiance with this job to complete the task in 2hrs. You, the customer WILL be charged what the book calls for, 3.5hrs. A mechanic should not be PUNISHED just because he has spent the money for the tool and has the experiance required that makes him/her an exceptional Tech. The book is an estimate of the time an adequate tech with a good supply of tools should be able to complete the task. Other wise you would be taking your car to the shop. Then they say "sure its 4 hours of labor". THen when you come to get it they say "Wow, that thing was a tough one, looks like you owe us 6hrs because we are no good at our job and dont have the right tools for the job. Thanks for helping us to buy some for the next time your car comes in". If you are a good tech working at a busy shop thenyou should be able to pull 10-12hrs in a 9hr work day. That is how every shop I have ever heard of works.
  8. You are crazy! Running turbonetics 62-1 ball bearing turbo here. 334whp / 384wtq at under 16psi. Stocker junkyard motor, no cam, port work or intake runner porting. Turbo is good for over 600whp.
  9. Lean it out just around the rpms and loads they test. Got a budy with a Starion and it has zero emissions stuff. Not even a cat and it passes smog every time and every time the say "wow this thing is clean!" lol. After the smog test he just reloads the old tune.
  10. I would not expect them to hold up to decades of road racing with slicks but I have been running them for a while. I have bought 2 sets from nlmotoring and would recomend them.

  12. I got my motor out of a 280zxt originally. Bought the whole car for $800 and drove it home. Parted out what i did not need. Made money on turboing my car.
  13. wd40 will fix that. Worst case take them apart and sand the corrosion off them.
  14. I will say it again......Ther is NO NEED for a 60mm tb at those power levels. If you want to do it just to do it or for the looks then by all means do it. It is just another cost.
  15. When I am ready for a "built" motor it will consist of JE pistons, total seal rings, arp rod/main/head. That will pretty much do it. The likely hood of doing over 375hp on anything but a perfect tune will pretty much kill factory pistons in the ring land area. Rods, they should take it. BTW, your sentence structure id very hard to read. I had to read it 4 times.
