After a couple of hours of charging the battery and no luck in cranking the motor, I found a website linked from a thread that directed the problem to the 4 fusible links. Fusible Links Well lo' and behold, one of them was disconnected (particularly the ignition switch link).
Plugging this back into the harness, I turned the key and the car cranked, but still no luck. It got worst after this because when I pulled the link to reattach it again, the fusible link's end clamps snapped from the harness from being so rusted. In an attempt to borrow another fusible link (ignition and EFI relay), the clamp snapped off the end of the harness pulling a harness tab along with it! Now the ignition and EFI relay harness has a broken tab, and I'm missing a fusible link for the ignition switch. I saw replacements online for $100 for a new harness and fusible links. However, I'm trying to save money here, so I'm wondering is there a way to fabricate the harness tab or should it be soldered? And can fusible links be found at the local auto store, if so what type for or amperage for each of these relay harnesses? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
