I will have tat try out and see..cuz lately i'm just working on the body for my car...my vacuum hose at the top was wide open before...so i purchased a PCV hose and covered tat up...after that when i start the car...is much more easier... Thats very true Stoney. I want to get the AEM EMS...but is too expensive for now...my plan is to run my motor with the stock ecu tuned....that should work right?

It backfires under both circumstances (accleration and deceleration). That's what i thought too Stoney, I believe the A/F ratio is really off right now...when I start the engine...sometimes I have to step on the gas in order to get it start...when the engine runs...I need to step on the gas peddle for a bit...until the car warms ...now i'm scare the backfire is goin to break my piston and block...because that seems like the symtom of my friend's STI before...it backfires a lot...and then the piston ruin...and the block broke...

Hey...my build is an R33 Rb25det, stock ecu (but the guy said it looks like there is a chip in there...i'm not too sure about that), intake manifold, FMIC, 3" piping for exhaust....basically most of the stuff in the motor is stock....any more details?

Hey guys, anyone knows anybody that is reliable and knows a lot about RB motor in Toronto Area? After the swap to my 280....I don't really have a chance to drive it....when the time I drive it...the car back fires a lot...I really need someone that can help me out....

BTW Careless. Where do u tune your RB motor? I'm currently running into problems that my motor is running so rich....Back fires a lot...>< I'm worry that my motor is gonna die...I still haven't enjoy my car yet....Any suggestion where I can get a reliable person that can give me some advise....After the swap....I really haven't drive out my car....the car is A/F ratio is not right...many other problems....If you can also give me any other suggestion...I would be much appreciated....

Thank you for the reply guys. I'm having a 15" wheels for now. But I'm planning to change it to 16" (cuz i need to install AZ brakes). I'm not sure if i can riase the engine by an inch, the amount of space to raise my motor up is very tight, if i actually do that, I don't think I can close the hood. My idea now is to put a sheet of meter underneath the oil pan, so if it scarp, I won't damage the oilpan, any other suggestion guys?

Hi guys, I did the search before i ask this question. I've done a rb25det swap to my 280z. Apparently, my car is lowered...and my oilpan is kinda close to the ground (approx. 3-4"). Any solution for it? My friends suggestion was to put a x brace at the bottom (he drive a S2k, i'm not sure if s30 has something like that.) I hope you guys can give me your suggestion for this problem. Thanks, Dave

Hi guys, I just got back my Z, my car is not tuned yet...but my problem right now is the battery drains from somethg...anybody can tell me how can i solve this problem or wat posiblility would it be?? Pls help me out..

I'm currently doing this project right now, I brought the motor with tranny, harness and everythg for 2700CAD, brought Z31 oilpan, pickup, o ring for around 250CAD, tomel timing belt 149CAD, N1waterbump 150CAD, FMIC with piping and gready intake manifold 890CAD, 3 row Rad around 210CAD, rebuild clutch 500CAD, and Rad hoses 80CAD. which makes the total around 5000CAD and plus installation labour...thats around 2500 - 3000 CAD. so you might be looking around less then 9000. I hope this will give you a forcast of how much you are willing to spend. Take care;)
