That is fantastic, and would be a big help to me. Yes, this is the piece that goes through the firewall, attaches to the gas pedal assembly in the passenger cabin, and connects up to the rest of the throttle linkage on the engine side of the firewall. The rod itself is maybe five inches long. I am in Asheville, NC. Would you be willing to toss one in a padded envelope? I am happy to pay whatever you think is a fair price plus shipping!

Does anyone have a throttle linkage that they're willing to part with? I specifically need the piece in the photo that goes through the firewall to the throttle pedal, and which is covered by the small rubber boot. Let me know. I'd love to find one of these so I can get my '71 moving again.

I wouldn't want to follow a 'chromed' car down the road very far. Talk about being blinded by the light! Ha.....

Does anyone know what kind of seats these are? I really like the 'period' look, and have never seen this type of seat before. They are in a Z car that is for sale in Maryland...the guy sent me photos, and I'm more interested in the seats than the rest of the car! He has no clue about them.

I had a set of six-spoke ZX rims on my 240Z for a while. The center spokes had been painted black by a previous owner. Oh, were they hideous....

I'd love to see pricing on a BRE rear spoiler. Do you have any intention of making up some BRE front spooks?

I've heard that the MSA weatherstripping fits nicely, everywhere except for on the doors. The OEM weatherstripping is still available, though, so you could buy the kit and then source the door seals from Nissan (mine cost $51 per side).

My car is currently being disassembled for paint. But when it goes back together, it's going to be repainted in ivory, with black ZG flares and a black BRE spook and BRE spoiler. It will have Vitaloni Californian mirrors, and that's it. I'll post pictures next spring when everything's together, but I've put a lot of thought into the color combo and the external flares and how everything's going to look. I think it's going to be a good combo. So....in case I haven't made myself clear, I vote for black! You just can't beat a black spook or air dam.

Is anyone using this seat in an S30? http://www.corbeau.com/products/fx1/fx1.shtml I like the looks of the seat, and was wondering if it was a good fit in a 240Z. The dimensions are 36" tall, and the base is 21" x 21". It's designed to fit up to a 36-38" waist.

If you were going to go with a four-cylinder engine, why would you choose the older U20 over the newer L16, L18, L20B or LZ22? The U20 was Nissan's first OHC engine, but the L-series was produced in far greater numbers and was considered a big improvement over the U-series. You could even go with a newer Z22 or Z24 (80's Datsun pickup) and have much greater reliability, torque, and parts availability. Not criticizing....just wondering what the appeal of the U20 is. That engine put out a stock 96 HP, or just about the same number as the 1.6 liter L16. The U20 could be built to be fast -- heck, the BRE team did it -- but the Roadster was much lighter than the 240Z and the L-series engines pushed the heavier 510-610-710 series cars very well.

Doing this on a cold day makes it much easier. The stuff will chip out rather than gumming up and getting nasty (I'm doing it in my Z right now). Wear eye protection! Turn on the radio, roll up your sleeves, grab a chisel and a rubber mallet, and get cracking.....
