  1. I'm looking for an NPR intercooler. I've looked in ebay but I only found one and I'm not even sure if it's the right one (kinda looks like a Volovo unit  ) Here's the link [url=http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2401125772&category=6763]http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2401125772&category=6763[/ URL]

If that's not an NPR, anyone have one for sale or know where I can find one? (might consider the Porche 914 unit).

I will need some mandrel bends as I'm going to fit it myself...can anyone recommend a place? I know about Hoovers site and I will get my hoses from him.

Piping size: I'm not sure if I should use 2.5" or 3" could anyone shed some light into this? redface.gif

Fuel injectors: I'm getting the Mustang SVO injectors...I need the brown tops right?

Fuel Pressure Regulator: What are you guys using?

Do I need a new fuel pump?

I know, I know, lots of questions  but it's about that time lol. I know my turbo will appreciate it and I can't wait to get a blow off valve! Thanks guys cheers.gifcheers.gifburnout.gif

  2. Well well well....it's about time lol.

Hey guys, I've seen Mike's 280zx in person and it's beautiful. The install is clean and rumble of the V8 is just awesome. We where playing on the freeway and ended up passing some troopers after a Z meeting one day lol. Good thing we didn't get caught tongue.gif

  3. I know what you mean....just when I think I've had enough messing with my Z, the thumbs up and the little kids calling my Z "speed racer" and gathering around the engine bay makes it all worth while. The approving nods and grins from strangers is what fuels my desire to keep working on her...it just makes you realize that I have something truely different and the real "gear heads" know exactly what the car is capable of. Keep pushing ever foreward my friend, it sounds like you have a real "head turner" and show us some pics of your pride and joy when you get a chance cheers.gif

  4. Hey Z friends...I just posted pics of my Z racing around cones. I also have about a minute and a half video with sound but need someone to help me out with hosting it temporarily. Anyway, I was pretty nervous before I actually raced but walking the course and talking to seasoned drivers helped get my confidence up. My best time on this track was 75.184...that's an improvement from my first run of 85 seconds (I was learning the car and the track.) The track was long and with my 75 second run I was only running about 5 seconds slower than the experienced drivers...(I won't count the cars running 65 second times as their cars are built for this type of racing, ie go-carts & full blown race cars etc. and I'm not in that class.) I did beat an SS Camaro though lol. If you like to take fast turns and basically unwind after a stressful week....I would recommend this to anyone. Belive me, you'll be hooked.

    Well, here's some pics...

  5. Hey Len...let me know when you and your gang are going to be in town. But I'll warn you now, I'm a family man so I stay faaaar away from the strip & in bed by about 10pm lol. I must be getting old...an 11 month old baby girl will do that to you malebitchslap.gif Anyway, keep me posted as I might be able to get some of the guys from our club to tag along as well. Laters. cheers.gif

  6. Yep, thats good info. If I end up with the Supra IC, I was already thinking of strapping the plastic end tanks anyway. I think Scotty did the same with his Volvo unit and it held up ok with high boost applications. I have looked at the Diesel units that they have on ebay. I don't know anything about them other than that the look thin in the pics...maybe someone can shed some light into this. I would love to get my hands on a Spearco unit but the price is just too steap for me. cheers.gifburnout.gif

  7. Hey all. Well my Z is sick right now frown.gif she doesn't seem to want to hold boost passed 8psi. I replaced the turbo about a month ago and everything was ok up to last week when she would only spike to 10 and dwindle down to 8psi. On my original settings...she would boost up to 16psi and hold that pressure until I let off. I've been running high boost pressure for a while even with the old turbo with no problems. Thinking back on the turbo replacement, I do remember that the rubber hose coupler from the turbo to the J-pipe was old and are showin signs of cracks and wear....I just didn't replace it at the time because I needed the car for the next day and figured it should be ok for a week or two until I got a hold of a new silicone hose (still can't find one locally). Obviously I should probably check and replace this first but I need some more expert advice ;) Would a split rubber coupler make the car act as described above? OR should I check elsewhere? I'm pretty sure that all other hoses are ok as I replaced most of them and inspected the rest and nothing else was touched up to this day. Anyway, I hope someone can shed some light in this problem as I'm not liking the new boost settings. cheers.gif

PS. what size is that hose and where do you guys get your silicone hoses online? I've been trying to get this hose for the past week locally and no one here seems to carry them. Thanks again.

  8. Hehe...funny you mentioned that Mat as I thought the same thing when I re-read it just now...what can I say, it was getting late...yeah that's it malebitchslap.gif Anyway, let me know when your in town. We have a Z club here now so there might be something going on around then.

Thanks for the BRAKE tongue.gif suggestions guys. This will help me get what I was looking for. cheers.gif

  9. I'm finally getting around to painting my wheels that I've had sitting in the garage for over a year malebitchslap.gif I just got some real nice tires for them (225/60/ZR15's Potenzas) and would like to know if there are any tips to painting the mesh part of the wheels. The outer lip is in good condition and so is the mesh part...it's currently painted in gold with no signs of flaking etc. Do I just sand the face or do I have to sand everything down to metal...if you've seen the weels I'm talking about you know it won't be an easy job to sand the mesh. I went to Autozone last night to check up on some paint but I haven't decided on what type of paint I'm going to be using...anyone have a suggestion? Should I clear coat it after the black paint is on? Should I use paint that will stop rust? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers.gif
