  1. If anyone knows measurements/has pictures/can find good resource on VQ30 and 35 motors, I sure could use them. I have almost finished all the VG data, but would like to add the VQ along side it. I have pictures of ports, passages, etc, side by side for good future comparison, so I would need similar for newer VQ stuff. Here at the library any searching I do is crippled by filtering sofware. I would say 80% of legitamate car stuff is filtered out as porn or lewd. For God's sakes, google is filtered out as porn. Anyway, I am just tired here folks, and was hoping someone had some quick fixes. As a side note I really need to know if a 350z exhaust flange will bolt to a vg30de head. Planning on making something.

I got a ton of pipes and hose with this motor, so I put this together to figure out which went where. Soon I'll get to pix of everything together. http://platrose.com/z/site/VQ30DET_induction.htm

Better late than never.... inside pix of the VQ30DET ecu I have. http://platrose.com/z/site/VQ30DET_ecu.htm
  5. VG30DETT VG30DE VE30DE Same rods, exact same part number in US.
  6. http://platrose.com/z/site/vg_supercharger.htm I made this up for something different on another site, but I figured anyone interested in this thead, would like seeing how it goes together.
  7. I got a custom one piece driveshaft for my z32 from Powertrain Industries about 5 years ago. It was high quality (I could tell because I worked at a place that made industrial shafts and joints), and has given me zero problems over this 5 year timeframe. I don't recall exactly, but I would say it's had about 80k miles put on it. Anyway, I toot my horn for these people whenever 'custom driveshaft' comes up. Oh, and I live in South Carolina and they are in California. The shipping was pretty cheap, so don't let it discourage you from using them. They seem to have their stuff together.
  8. One more hazard of using the library here I guess. I can't change anything. The admin here has just about everything locked out and is not inclined to remedy anything. Even google.com is blocked as a "obscene and pornographic site". I am this || close to paying $100 a month for satellite just to get away from this nonsense. Thank you for your help.
  9. I don't know how this site is set up to display, but it is certainly not at the top of every one in my browser, I can fire off a screenshot of classifieds for you if you would like. I didn't think to look in any of the other areas for a classifieds sticky. I read those a while back and now tend to ignore them, which I see is a mistake on my part. Since I was not clear about what is happenning; nothing gets displayed.... my post doesn't appear - I fill out the forms.... hit enter... it asks for my password like it does everytime I do anything here.... and then when I go to look at my ad it is not there.
  10. 10. New users cannot post to the classifieds until they have been a member for a period of time (this is subject to change depending on efficacy). If you cannot post to the classifieds, assume that you are not eligible yet. Do not attempt to join the forum just to try to sell stuff. It would be nice if this list was in the classifieds area. It would be nice if finding this didn't involve 2 hours of searching. It would be nice if something was displayed following a post to the classifieds area, instead of just simply not working. Before I whip out the 'I bought a Z before I even had a drivers licence' or 'I have every post from z31.com or twinturbo.net saved on my home computer' stories, someone had better figure out a better method than this. I intentionally do not participate on tt.net, because my profile is stuck with "I'm a novice painting my calipers" because I don't post 10,000 times a day. I have watched this forum for quite a while, but chose to focus on another forum that is filled with less talent than this one. I don't think I need to be punished for helping the less fortunate. Well before I go off the deep end here....1) how long is enough and 2)is there anyway to get around it

OK everyone, we need to begin accumulating and compiling what we can here. I want only turbo info....ie VQ30DET. It would be a real disservice, if we began mixing this with the normally aspirated VQ30. There is so much different internally, that it is akin to saying z31 and z32 motors are the same because there are VG30s in both. So far about 98% of the information I have found is flat out wrong. If there is something you are not absolutely sure of, but would like to share, please flag it as 'might be' or 'possible'. Coming soon - I will have the wiring harness traced and labeled. Looky! No EGR - The boss in the manifold hasn't even been drilled out.
  12. I am getting ready to sell an LSD diff from a BNR32 Skyline. It has 35:8 gears (4.375). As it sits, it would be a bolt in for a z32tt. I will be opening it up to take pictures, so if anyone wants me to inspect something they would like technical info for, or pictures of, now would be the time. It has the round 6 bolt cv type pinion flange, and 6 bolt half-shaft flanges. I recently found a hot deal on a welder, so I am parting ways with a few really nice items I have, and can take things off the parts cars I have here. I will post this and some other things in classifieds and on ebay later. I have the half shafts also... if you are collecting info on them too. I haven't looked over all the info here on hybrids, but I am planning on making a complete 'from here' 'use there' list on all of these. I made the ecu list up first, but the diff list is near completion. Since it has all been extracted from Nissan FAST, there won't be any doubts if it is really true.
  13. As far as knowing what you have got.... if you tell me the numbers on your ecu, i can find out exactly what it came from. Pictures would go a long way toward verifying what you have. From there I can tell you exactly what PTU etc you have, and see if it is also used on some USDM engines.
