  1. Hey guys I just came across this website that sells fiberglass ZX parts. Fenders, hoods, wide body kits, and they are going to start doing hatches as well. Here is the link.

    http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/280zx.html

I was thinking maybe we could try to get a group buy going on some of this stuff if enough people were interested. Im not exactly sure how to go about doing that but I know someone on here does, so please chime in and lets see what we can do.

  2. Ok apparently no one has those parts in this area so... Anyone close enough to the Baltimore area where the shipping wont kill me have any of these parts? I have some motor parts I can trade if you need them, an ecu, some side marker lights if any of that stuff will help.

  3. Not so much looking for approval as far as sound, I just don't know much about mufflers and this is a pretty cheap option, so I more or less wanted to know if it was a junk part that wasn't going to do me any good. But looking at I have seen lots of videos of people putting them on some nice 350Z cars and only two on 280ZX's. I was checking to make sure there weren't any horror stories of hooking them up on L motors is pretty much what Im saying, since I haven't heard much about the product.

  4. Well the whole maintaining pressure thing was because it was my understanding that if you don't have enough back pressure you could mess your engine up. As far as info I just wanted to hear anyone's personal experience with using these, do they sound that good in person? I think it sounds good but I just wanted to hear from anyone that may have used this on their cars. I searched on here and couldn't find anything so I figured I would just come out and ask. Pretty much looking for someone with experience with this muffler to let me know how they like it.

  5. Hey guys, I was just looking around trying to find which exhaust to put on my 280ZX and came across this video with a top speed pro N1 muffler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6Zj5Nwwjz0&feature=feedlik

Anyone on here have any experience with this muffler? I have a DC sports muffler that I was planning on using just based on price and was planning on getting the MSA exhaust kit. I will be running headers and straight pipe no cat to a muffler, to maintain pressure. I tried searching for info on that muffler on an older z car. Plenty of responses for the 350Z cars. Any info, suggestions, or help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

  6. Cool thanks for the picture included. Its nice to actually see what your talking about. I am in the process of saving up for the MSA exhaust system so I can put my headers on and then the N42 intake at the same time, but also wanted to solve the TB problem so it could all get done at once. Thanks again

  7. Ok, so I get in my car to start it and no response. The cd player turned on, the lights inside were on with the door open ( nothing was left on previously). When I went to turn the key there was nothing at all. I disconnected the battery and hooked it back up, got in, and it started just fine. BUT my friend noticed the NEGATIVE terminal of the battery had some corrosion and smoked when starting. Upon further inspection it looked like the terminal also melted or something, a chip was missing out of the side of the wire connector with fresh metal exposed, also it was very hot only after starting it twice and running for maybe 30 seconds. My step dad is a mechanic and has been for years so I trust his knowledge he hasn't seen it but when I called him he said he had never seen smoke off the negative side before. Any help is greatly appreciated. Can upload pictures later if that could help.

  8. Yea Im in Maryland too and I like it. Historic tags for your Z means no state inspection or emissions testing. Montgomery county schools are very nice especially if your kids are into any performing arts or sports. Some of the largest and best schools in the nation are there. Cost of living is not terrible but its not the cheapest either. Oh and crabs cant forget crabs. Baltimore has a great music scene too if you like music and just about any type you can think of.

  9. Hey guys I have a 1980 ZX and its time to do the breaks on it. I was looking to upgrade a little bit with these: http://www.topbrakes.com/carSeriesDetails.php/16545/Brake+Rotors/POWERSTOP/Powerstop+Cross+Drilled+Rotors+%28Pair%29/1980+NISSAN+280ZX+

And possibly just going with the MSA pads unless something else comes up. Basically Im looking for opinions here, experience with brakes, what both worked well and lasted a good amount of time. Mainly street use but I am trying to get everything in order to take it to the track here and there. No real upgrades to speak of on the car yet but when I put the suspension on I was going to do the brakes while it was all taken apart, they need it. Any knowledge is appreciated, price, performance, and reliability are all factors in my purchase.

  10. Stock ECU, yes I am going to port match the intake manifold and my other concerns were with the linkage. How should it hook up? I wish there was a quick little write up on this swap with pictures but I havent been able to find one. I have come across a lot of people asking questions but no solid this is how its done type things. So when I get it done I will make sure to take plenty of pictures for everyone to see.

  11. I just pulled a TB of a KA24DE (240SX motor) what am I missing here? Something is not adding up/ looking right.

This is the TB and N42 intake manifold. What fills the extra space on the manifold? What is the best way to do this install? What is the most cost effective way to do this install? Any links to write ups or any hands on knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

  12. Hey guys I have tried searching but with no luck. Im wondering if anyone can help identify the cam that is in this motor. The only markings I see are a "D" and "JAPAN" I will try to get a couple of pictures loaded up here if that would help. The cam is in a 76 L28. A friend said that since it had some paint markings on it that it was possibly not stock. Any help is appreciated, I have someone interested in buying the motor and need this info so I can decide on a price.
