So is it just like a regular auto just put it in drive and go with the option of shifting yourself to shift faster.or do you have to upshift and downshift? thats one of the problems with the swap,I really like manual trannys. Would anybody happen to know if borg warner super T10s are sturdy trannys or are they weak like the T5s?

Hi,I haven't posted in a while since I wrecked my Z last year.Anyway I have a Mazda Rx7 that I'm planning to drop a 350sbc into and was wondering if anybody here knows of a good place in MI to get one.like if their was a good place that they got their 350 from.I know I don't have a Z anymore but I plan on usign a chevy 350 engine and Tranny like you guys use so I figure its kinda on topic here,and you guys seem to have all hte answers. I want to keep my car manual but it seems the T5 is a piece of junk and people recomend to go auto or t56.since the rx7 is light weight and the Zs cousin I was woundering what you would reccomend for a manual tranny?waht do peole run in their Zs?Anybody use a borg warner super T10 Tranny?the gearing in my car makes it a bit hard.4:10 gears and like 12 or 14 inch tires. The Guy hewlping me has a turbo 350 wiht corvette gears,and a b&m shift kit for 500$.Its a ratchet shift tranny,I have never driven one so do you shift it like a motorcyle tranny,1 gear ata time except no clutch or do you just put it in drive and go? Well i'm still looking and thinking.YEs the car would be daily driver but the crappy Job I am working at is only a 2 miles from home,and I could probly barrow my mom or dads car if I had to.THere might be an opening loading truck at a dairy and they pay 15 per hour with overtime,so if I get that job I can probly afford a beater,thinking old toyota,and then save for a really nice z,after a month or so I could spend around 6000 and get a nice one.THe biggest set back is I'm having sinus sugery[i have a deviated septum and clogged sinuses]and won't be able to work for at least 2 weeks maybe more. do you guys I think I can sell my wrecked z for at leat 1200?,From the engine bay back it's in good shape,brand new tires,engine still runs,ect.if I sell it for 1200 I'll have 4000.I should be able to get a decent z for that,problem there arn't many in the MI area.I wouln't sell it if I can get anoter z31 as I'd use it for parts. Racinjitter I have been looking for a z31 rolling chassins or complete car with blown motor in with a good body to swap my parts into but no luck so far.If you'r dad sells his z let me know?is it a turbo or na? is it a 5spd?I would also consider a l28 turbo swap into 240-280 but again not many around.I keep hoping someone will have a v8 240-280 for sale in MI for around 4000,I have seen a bunch in CA and the TX area but not any in the MI are yet.I might also get a 240sx and turbo that if I can get one in good shape and cheap,butI don't like thme as much as a z. I don't know much about small blocks, but I'm trying to learn,is there an faq or site that has all the info in an easy to understand way like the ones on the vg30et engines?   6. Ok thanks everbody for you'r help,I did do a search before asking but I didn't see one done on a budget like mine,so I asked if it was possible.maybe I didn't search correctly but I apologize. Woj what do you mean turbo swap?do you mean putting a turbo on the l24or can you just drop in a l28et?I am not fussy what I use,I just want something affordable,somewhat reliable.I would eventually like to get around 300-350 rwhp.I mostly want enough power to smoke the tires in a few gears and to beat mustangs,comaros and older vettes, [i am talking about stock or only lightly modified cars not the ones that the guygirl spend hours and many many bucks modding and takes to the stip and runs 11s]I am not trying to run 11's[but If I can that's great] I should ask on the I6 forum to see what my options are. Well I gues it sounds like both are great cars so I guess it depends on which I find I can afford first.I'ts like choosing between 2 super models,both are great you might prefer one a little bit more but you get the other you'r still happy. The supras are going for too much money,[damn f&F movie]I still might get one but I kinda like the Z better,I never rode in a supra but,everbody says the Z is a lighter more nimble car,even the supra guys say the Z's are more nimble,and handle great,the supra with stock suspention they say handles a little like a dump truck at high spead in comparison,and like everybody says the supra is a heavy car,so the Z being lighter should be a bit easier to get to go fast. I am not thinking of going for super high hp numbers and doing extensive work and modding [most people think the supra has an edge when trying to get crazy high hp numbers but I can't afford to get to that point] ,I can afford to maybe get in the 350-400RWHP[in the future,now I can't afford much over stock]so I guess I'll try for a Z unless I find a supra close and Affordable,Now who whants to sell me there Z?

Ok thanks,I guess it costs to much unless I get the car for cheap,or partially completed.The problem is with a 240z you'r only option I see done is a swap,what other options are there?I mean the engine is small[compared to a v8]and not a turbo,what else can you do to get muscle car performance?To bad I can't drop in my vg30et after a rebuild and afew mods[it has 198000 miles on it]to get 350-400RWHP, that power in a car that light... would be pretty bad:twisted:

Well I am posting another question about v8's.I recently wrecked my 84 turbo,[at a stop sign,it was raining,didn't see him] And have been looking for a replacement,I can't seem to find hardly any Z in MI or close enough to get.I am also conserdering a toyota supra turbo but they are going for to much. Anyhow I found a 71 datsun for sale in mi at zcar .com http://www.zcar.com/classifieds/index.php?method=showdetails&list=advertisement&rollid=32987&fromfromlist=classifiedscategory&fromfrommethod=showhtmllist&fromfromid=29& Do you think this is a good price?also since it dosn't run and the 240z engines arn't very powerfull I was thinking of maybe a 350 sbc swap.The problem is I only have about 3200 total,[he is asking 1800 for the car]would it be possible to swap a 350 for 1500 or under?I have a buddy who would help[he mostly works on his 240sx but is good mechanicly]The engine would come from a low milage truck there are tons in junkyards,my buddy said 350s are easy and cheap to rebuild and have a lot of aftermarket parts so I could get it going and then build it up bit by bit. I like the idea of a light weight 240 with a v8,except the gas milage,what do you think it would get?16highway 10 city?,but can it be done on my budget?is there a certain year model of car that would be the easiest to use? should i consider this an option or save up and buy a 240-280 allready v8ted or turbo 280- 300zx? Also what about a 350v8 in a 260?There is one for sale in the classifieds here nearly done for 2500,it's in texas but maybe I could have it shipped,would that be alright,or is there somethin wrong with 260zs as nobody seams to talk about them,are they the fat lazy kid in a family of atheleats?   10. I know it had an turbo I6,the reason I asked here instead of the I6 forum is becouse the only Z I have had or rode in was the z31,which as you know has a v6,I'm using the z31 as a benchmark to judge the supra.so how does it compare in performance,upgradeabilty,and handling? Thanks.

Well no luck finding a replacement Z around MI[that I can afford] and fixing mine will take time,[probly a long time]and I found a 1987 turbo supra http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-TOYOTA-SUPRA-TURBO_W0QQitemZ4643564885QQcategoryZ6447QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I am wondering if I should get it,I ,loved my Z and was wondering does anybody know how it compares?The specs I looked up say at stock the supra and Z have the about the same Hp,230 bhp[supra]and 200bhp[Z]but with a boost controller and some other basic mods the Z climbs to 250 RWHP,can you do the same type of easy and affordable mods to the supra to get the about the same[or more power] as the Z?Also with the Z I can probly afford the mods to make it hit about 400RWHP,how hard would it be to get a mkIII to get that power,and could I afford it? How is the supras handling?that is one thing everybody loves about the Z is how they handle like there on rails,how is the MKIII? The other thing is weight,The MKIII weighs a bit more 3500lbs vs the Zs 3100 lbs but that shouln't matter a lot should it ?. Also the Z's are tough almost bullet proof,how is the MKIII?I asume it's almost bullet proof since it's made by toyota but Just asking. They both seam about equal to the specs I have seen[i am not going to go crazy and try to get 800 RWHP or anything like that,but I figure if anybody knows you guys would know. Thanks.

Hey Jason as you know I kinda killed my Z,I have been looking for another one but no luck so far.I just rembered that you said you had at least 6 in you'r back yard,you wouldn't happen to bew willing to sell one would ya?I'm looking for[besides a running Z at a decent price]a rolling chassis in good conditon with most of the stuff there,that I could drop my engine in[after a rebuild]or a parts car with a good condittion front end I can swap onto mine. Let me know please.

Hi,I have never posted on the I6 forum becouse I owned a 84turbo.I recently totaled that[sob]and I am in the market for a Z,I loved my 300zx but I also like the looks of the 240-280 and they go for less than 300zxs. But which engine is better?I want a street car with around 400RWHP and the ability to beat older corvettes,mustangs and camaroes. I know there are plenty of people running around 400RWHP on the vg30et but you need to upgrade fuel injectors,portpolish the heads,add turbo and put in a new ecu.The actual engine I am told is very sturdy stock,How does the l28 compare? How much potential does the L28 have?I have seen some wicked L28 Zs. Which engine would be able to hit 350-400RWHP easier with less work or cost?I know nothing of the L28 turbo. What are the pros cons of the engines?I tried a search but there was a ton of useless info that came up and there was no general info or faqs about getting high HP numbers with the L28 like there is with the Vg30Et so I'm asking here. I was kinda hoping to find an older model datsun 280 or 240 that had a blown motor that I could Rebuild or drop a 350 small block but there isn't much around here. Thanks.

Well as you know I recently smashed my Z.I had a freind who used to own his own body shop come and look at it.He said the frame looks good but the panels,hood and the bar the radiater attaches to is done for.If is fixable IF I can find another 300zx and swap the front ends,fixing it piece by piece is possable but not worth it as I could buy a lot better shape Z for that ammount of money. SO I am looking for a 300zx I can take the front off,or a rolling Chassis in good condition or an Running Z[dosn't matter if it is 240,60 280 or 300zx]In the MI area for a reasonable price.If you have on or know of one let me know. I might end up buying a 240sx and turbo that to hold me off untill I can buy another Z or find the parts to fix mine. Thanks.

Well,I totaled my baby yesterday[1984 Turbo,I was giving a buddy a ride from school when all of a sudden the car stareted halting,it was like you left it in gear and didn't hit the gas,stalling.anyhow I hit the gas and it stuttered for a second and worked fine,almost like it coughed out a plog.Well I thought I'd better look at this when I get home,so I droped my buddy offf at his house,and left.I got maybe a block and was stopping for a stop sighn I was really close and all of a sudden it did the same thing,I hit the gas twice and all of a sudden it took off[it was rainy to it was slick]and whent across the interscection,hitting some guy in a beat up ford car.He's fine and I'm unfortunatly alive, The worst part is it died the way any car could go,I mean I would have felt better if I had smashed it up while racing and had hit something then or killed it screwing around but it died an unwothy death. When I got home I called my buddy who helps me work on my car[or did]and he came over and looked at it we pride the hood off and looked down into the engine bay.THe whole front end is smashed and bent and the frame is F!#!,so it's totaled,from the engine and back it appears all is oK.engine looks fine, My options are 1 find a body with a bad or no engine and put my engine and turbo in[pretty hard as I can't find any Z's around here that arn't colectors anmd cost a ton finding one I could afford here was pure luck.] 2 part out my car engine tranny,windows,tires ect and buy a new car. 3 If I buy a new car My buddy thought of these as they are kinda like the Z fast fun,nice looking sports car and reletivly cheap,240sx,or an RX 7 with a bad motor and swap a ford 302 in it. I like the looks of the 240sx and they are cheaper,in fact my buddy has another friend that is selling his,after puting new tires and a new suspention kit for like 800.I havn't looked at it yet,he says it's a bit rough. He's selling it becouse he's getting married and she is making him sell it I guess.The problem is it's not a Z,and they only have a 4 bangeer in them,I know some people put a turbo engine{forget the the numbers of it]but they are imported from Japan[sounds costly.The upside is they are small light and are manuverable,and kinda a z car[younger brother or son]and I have heard of people puting in the vg30et into the 240sx.SO maybe I could swap my engine into the 240sx[after rebuilding it with a couple of the cheaper power mods,even if I don't the stock power of 240ish RWHP Should make that little sucker go.I don't know how hard that would be to do though. I don't like the Rx7 looks as much and they cost more,but it's super easy to put a for 302 in them and a v8 small block would have a decent ammount of power to make a lightweight car like the Rx7 Go,soI might go for it. I guess I 'd like a z body first or a 300z with a bad motor so I can afford it[prferably an 87-89]then a 240z or 280z with a bad moror or running if I can afford it. I'd do a v8 swap if I got a 240z or 280z.then my other choice a 240sx and either turbo it or put the vg30et.My Last choice [mostly I'd get it it if I just happend to find one cheap]RX7 and put the 302 ford in it. If anybody can think of another choice or of a used z or 240sx in Michigan let me know.Thanks.
  17. Hi,I have asked questions on the V6 forums before [Thanks jason and mount cookson for help]but nobody seems to answer what tranny and clutch I should use. I am Going to try and rebuild the motor and upgrade turbo fuel ect to get around 350-400 RWHP.THe problem is I don't know what tranny to use to replace the BOW 5 spd[everyone says it's a POS]. My Buddy who is helping me mod and rebuild the engine ,has a 90's 240sx with Low miles on it[he got it when he bought the engine]and it looks good. I know it will bolt up if you swap bell housings with the BOW tranny.But would it hold 350-400 RWHP and I gues around 400ftlbs of torque reliably?I don't plan on doing much drag racing but a little here and there,mostly road racing and fun driving.I know everybody recommends a 87-89 turbo tranny,but they are hard to find and expensive.the other choice a z32 tranny looks like a lot of custonm work and again costs a bit. If the 240sx tranny can't hold the power I want could it be rebuild at a resonable price to handle the power I want?I know that a lot of Nissan parts are interchangeable between cars,is there another tranny option from a cetain car or truck that would bolt up and handle that ammount of power? Also what clutch should I get? I am leaning toward ACT stage 3 to handle the power I want but it says that it is not for the street driving and street driving can couse it to wear out faster,is that just if you arnt carfull and ride the clutch?or should I go for the stage 2? I just wonder if stage 2 can handle 350-400 RWHP. Thanks for answering my questions,I did try and search,so if it has been answered before I'm sorry.
  18. Thanks for the reply Mtcookson.I didn't get the tranny mentioned,I was staying up to bid on it and dozed off,when I woke up the auction was done I'm kinda pissed at myself ,but oh well. So I'm back to where I started,Is it posible to build up a 240sx tranny relitivly cheap?like I said I can't seem to find any 87-89 Turbo tranny's and my buddy has a 240sx tranny for a hundred bucks so If I could build that up to handle 350-400 RWP at a decent price I'd be happy is that possible or am I dreaming? You said you found a z32 TT Tranny cheap,do you have a z31?If so how hard was it to get it to work?Jason gave me a link in a previous post that had a bit of info about all the trannies,and it sounded hard to get a z32 TT tranny to work on a z31 so I kinda dismised it as an option. I still don't know if I should get the ACT stage 3 clutch,I like it's listed holding power but it says street driving can couse it to wear out early,do you know if it is true and if so is it only caused by really heavy traffic,Ie LA Detroit ect?I drive mainly rural roads small town,would that couse it to wear out early?I am considering the stage 2 but am wondering when I get upo to higher power levels later this summer would the stage 2 hold 350-400 RWHP? Also What brand of struts would you reccomend?My front struts are dying.I want struts that are firm,and prvide good handling,l guess racing struts,I don't care if it makes the ride more bumpy so that is not an issue but price is,what would you reccomend?I am also going to replacew my endlink bushing any brand that you reccomned?.   19. Well I am finally working and hope to start work on my Z,I can only afford the clutch and tranny swaps and to replace the front struts. My question is this:Is the Tranny from an 87-88 turbo really that much better than a tranny from a 240sx?Becouse the guy that is helping me fix my car has a 240sx tranny with low miles for $100,but I found a 87-88 turbo tranny on ebay and so far it's $160 plus shipping around 100, but has 10 bids.How much should I bid?I mean is it worth it to spend a bunch more money to get this or is the 240sx close in performance ?I have asked about the 240sx tranny before and you guys gave some links and it they say it can handle around 400RWHP,But would running that much power[Thats my goal around 350-400 RWHP]caouse it to last only a little While? here is the link to the 87-88 Turbo tranny..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8054743994? I don't care if it's harder push the clutch down[good excercise] but I don't want to keep replacing clutches and I want something that holds.I thought about a stage 2 clutch but would it hold around 350-400 RWHP reliably?   20. Hey Jason 1I have a few more questions. I think I'd probly go for a tranny from a 240sx as it is easier than a tranny swap from a z32,It looks sounds like a 240sx tranny [from the links you posted last]would just bolt in, would it?In you'r opinion do you think swaping a tranny from a 87 turbo would be worth trying to find?Or would it be possible to rebuild the bog warner to handle around 400 hp at the wheels? You mentioned you had 6 Zs,do you have a 87 turbo tranny or 85 Na you would part with?I hate to keep asking you but you don't have a transmition and cluthc section on you'r site,and I none of the other sites and faqs have much info on these either.Where should I buy the cluthc from?is there a place that has good prices that you buy from? In my last post you asked why 3 grand and the reason is that is the most I can spend,and that is what it would cost to Reach my goal which is to get my car to have Corvette performance,or performance like you'r car,how much did it cost you to get what you have? Anyway to get 400 rwhp It would cost me about three grand at least thats about the prices I got while checking around for what I'll need,I am listing what I saw, from places that sell new or rebuilt,or items and prices that regualrly appear on ebay[i know I could get cheaper if I got the parts from a junkyard, or if people like you were selling there old stuff,but that isn't always an option] Anyway here is waht I got. Clutch kit Act stage 3 $350,fuel injectors,mercedes like you mentioned 2-300 from Napa,I guess 500 for tranny,maybe cheaper if I go with a 240sx tranny I might get a good deal from a junkyard,Turbo 700,fuel pump from a z32 250,Ecu Megasquirt 300,My buddy thought that itwould cost about 700 to rebuild the engine and another 300 to have the heads ported and polished,[i have an uncle who is a machinest so if he wanted to do it it would help save some money],400 for an intercooler,150 for new lifters,and 200 for a new cam.[my engine has a single overhead right?or is it duel? What do you think?I'm just trying to ballpark what it'l cost and what I need so I know how much money I'll need to raise. THe first thing I'm going to do is put on an intercooler and replace the clutch and tranny then put the boost to 12 psi untill I can rebuilt the engine and the rest of the pgrades,I'm wondering if i do that can I damage my engine enough so that it would cost more to rebuild?or would I have to replace the same ammount of stuff when I rebuilt anyway? Thanks. P.S.If mount cookson is reading this do you have an intercooler you would be interestred in selling in the future?

Hi again,thanks for taking the time to answer my questions guys.I did [and still do ]use Jason's site[great site!]but there was nothing on tranny upgrades or clutch info,so i'm posting here.Jason you'r right I do get ahead of my self sometimes,but I'm trying to get a list of everything I'll need so I can keep my eye out for deals and bargains. I guess I'll go with a stage 3 ACT clutch since that is what most people recomend,where should I buy the clutch from? Thanks for the info on the tranny swap,which do you think I should go with?the Z32 tranny becouse i's stronger but harder to do,or the tranny from a 240sx,becouse it is easier to do and easier to find.Or could I rebuild the stock tranny to handle the ammount of power I want ? The Reason I think the clutch went bad was that My unlce helped me replace it a little after I got it and the pedal felt mushy and it didn't want to bounce back up so me and my dad adjusted the screw under the pedal untill it did but it sliped like a bitch,we later found out that the slave clynder was bad and that the clutch damper was bad too,so after we replaced them and the master clynder it got a better and held for a while but it's slipping again not bad abut a little,so I guess we killed it,Oh well live and learn. About the intercoolers,is there a certain brand or a certain carmodel I should get one from?a lot of people use the intercooler from a supra mkIV but they are sorta expensive and hard to find,MTcookson If you have some you don't use and want to sell Il be intereted as soon as I get a little money. When I posted earlier and said fuel upgrades I meant what Jason had listed on his site,mercedes injectors,and a megasquirt ecu. Jason The Reason I listed $3000 as thats about the most I'll be able to afford this summer from my summer job,I almost have enough for a tranny and clutch upgrade now, and 3000 is the price I got for the upgrades nescesary to get the pereformance I want,I did a little price shopping at some places online,I only checked places that sell new or rebuilt,so I might get cheaper prices if someone is selling their older stuff,or If I can get some off Ebay.anyway here is what I got: 350 for an ACTstage3 clutch kit,500 for a tranny,350 for megasquirt ecu,400 for intercooler and piping,700 for turbo upgrade,my buddy thought about 700 to rebuild the engine,250 for a fuel pump upgrad from a z32,2-300 for mercedes injectors from Napa or autozone,about 300 for the heads to be ported and polished[maybe less if my other uncle who is a machinest might do it for a little money]150 for new lifter springs[i don't know if that was included in the estamit for the engine rebuild]and 200 for regrinding the cams.I probly overestimated the ammount of money I need to spend but I tried to ballpark it.I'm trying for around 400 rwhp as that sounds like that is about the most you can get without some seriouse modding and money.I want a car that can beat mustangs and be on the level of an older corvette[not one of the new Z06s]I would be happy with the power you'r car has,how much would that cost?But I also don't want to cheap out I mean if for a little more money I can get a noticeable difference I would probly opt for spending the extra money if it's a little more not spending an extra 600 for 20 hp upgrade. At first I'll just up the tranny and clutch and put on an intercooler and set the boost to 12psi untill I can afford the rest of the upgrades,I mean I am going to rebuild the engine anywa,so If I blow it nothing's lost,and you'r 400 hp engine with 260,000 miles on it gives me hope. I have a 1984 turbo 5 spd mostly rust free[very rare in MI]It has 198000 miles on it,I got it for 1750 delivered.I have had it for about a year now.It had two owners I think the first owner babied the car and took good care of it,and only drove it in the summer[well I'm guesing that as it's mostly rust free]and the manual had all the records that he did[he took it to the shops to have the any work donenoil changes,timing belt ect].The second owner a young kid about 20ish who owned it for about a year and he didn'tr take so good care of it,put a huge *** speaker in the back and a manual boost controller and set the boost to 10psi,he also left the carpet in the car after being wet [the t tops leak a little and the window in the hatch leaks a bit]so the the back area has surface rust[gona fix it soon,a guy at my church used to own a body shop and he said he would help me fix it and fix a fist sized rused spot that is on the lower left panel by the rear tire. When I got it the clutch was slipping and I replaced it[my unlce did most of the work and we also rplaced the ball joints and U joints]we replaced the clutch with a stock clutch.but it starts to slip at 8spi and when you stomp on it. Anyway My goal is to get around 350-400 wrhp eventually.The fisrt thing I need to replace is the transmition[mine is slowly leaking],an upgrade the clutch.I'm thinking of going ACT but not sure what model to go with, don't plan to race at a track or seriously drag race,Just cruise around and maybe friendly race a little.What stage do you recomend?the stage 3 holds the most but they say it's now really for driving on the street. Also where can I get a transmiton at a good price?I read that the 87 turbo is the best but kinda hard to find,would a 5 spd from a z32tt fit without mods?they are easier to find.sorry to ask but I searched and couldn't find anythin and Jason's site didn't have any info.Also should I get an aluminum fly wheel or get an oem? After doing these upgrades I plan on upgrading the exhoust,I'm thinking of cutting the pipe just before the first bend,as In MI they don't do emisons test and I have heard that turbos don't really need a muffler,What do you guys think?If I need to get an exhoust system what do you think it will cost?.Then I plan to add an intercooler off ebay,[i can't afford a spearco,but Jason says you can get some good ones off ebay and make custom piping,but what makes a good intercooler?what dimentions are good?what do I look for?]and set the boost to 12 psi.Then when when I get some money Upgrade the fuel injectorspump,ecu turbo and rebuild the engine and port an polish the heards.I have a TSC[tractor supply co]in my town and was wondering if they are the same tractor suply that jason sent his turbo to? could I send my turbo and housing to and have them bore the hosuing out and put a bigger turbo in the housing?waht turbo would you recommend. I have a buddy that works on nissan[he is suping up a 240sx now]and he said he would hel me install and work on my car,so pretty much all I have to buy is the parts.do you think I could get 350-400 rwhp for around $3000? Any comments and advice would be apreciated and I'd be gratefull if you help out a noob.Thanks

Well I guess the v6 is what i'll go for then.Thanks for all the info and help.If I had more money[not likely anytime soon,unless I pick a winning lotto ticket lol,well the store my brother works at a guy came in and won $75000 so maybe it could happen]I would maybe still consider a v8 as some of you guys on this site have some monsters and I do like the old school style about it, but for what I can afford and do with the car,I guess the best route is upping what I have. Thanks for helping me figure it out[especially since it is a chevy v8 forum:mrgreen:].I'll be sure to post back when I get it done,and list what I went with.The first step is to replace the tranny and upgrade the clutch so it can handle 8psi,then I figure get an intercooler and rais the boost to 10 or 12.Then when i get more money up the fuel system and turbo,then when and if the engine starts to die rebuild it and then port polish heads ect. Hopefully I can get a job soon and start making some more money to do this[jobs are hard to get in MI escecially if you'r under 18 and in school]and then give those camaros a run for the money:icon6: Oh i'd also like to say thanks Scottie for the info his "ramblings" they some answers and really cleared up a bunch of things.
