I'm saving money to complete my vortec head swap for an 1988 350 in my 280z, i bouth an COMP Cams CL12-238-2 cam and i'm now looking for some cheap vortec heads(1996+) at local junkyards but was reading online that stock vortec heads are only good for up to .450 lift.. would the cam i bought work with no other mods? also i'm using block hugger headers with my current heads.. will they fit good? sorry about the questions but i just want to buy the right parts and build it as best as i can with a tight budget here in Tijuana mexico.... The only reason is because i don't know the exact location where they are supposed to be stock. I bought the engine with both exhaust manifolds but no downpipe, i bought the headers and im wondering where should how low should i put them.

do they come with o2 sensor bung? and does someone know what other cars use the same type of o2 sensors? GM 25312184 ? Thank you...

Can the stock 280z driveshaft be used with an 1995 chevy lt1 swap and auto tranny? or does it NEED to be replaced by a chevy one? Thank you.. i ordered the JTR manual and kit but i'm still waiting for it. Thnks in advance....

wouldn't the gearing be too short with the 4:11?

would they fin on an LT1/JTR setup relocationg the o2 sensor?

I currently own a L28et 280z with 4:11 Diff and basic mods.. i just bought an lt1 with all the wiring harness, ecu, etc in perfect condition for 600$, but the problem is that it came from an automatic caprice... how hard would it be to put a manual tranny and do i need to replace the flywheel too? sorry i'm need to the v8 world..

thx all of you. here in tijuana we only have a 1/8 mile track, and thats where i race my car... on streetfire you can search for tijuana and see some vids... i just swaped the 4.11 diff in and the car feels much better than with the 3.54 gears, its harder to get traction but i'm gonna run with slicks so i'm not worried...

i've been thinking about adding a 75 shot of wet niitrous but can a stock engine take it? current setup: 1978 280z l28et Felpro head gasket Turbo injectors stock efi and ecu 12:1 FMU Walbro FP Hybrid T3T4 turbo FMIC 4:11 Differential ZX Tranny Boost controller : daily 11psi, Track 14 PSI the car is really fast but i want it to be faster but i want to keep it L28.... what you guys think , can the engine survive?

yes it pulls like a mofo with the 4;11 and the shifts aren't TOO short, they are perfect for me... hope to hit 7.9 by the end of this month i will post videos once i go to the track..
