  1. Um, I'm going to agree with what the others said about that being a really bad idea. Neither of those pieces were ever designed to have holes drilled in them. I'd hate be in the car when it fails. If you're set on running those coilovers, look into getting a set of sleeves like the ones by McKinney Motorsports made for your car. You'd weld them to your castings and be all set. Mack has been great to deal with, possibly he could machine one of his sleeve sets to your thread pitch. I'd suggest going that route. Interesting idea from the first post, I love to see a mock up.
  2. S30 Brake Upgrade Thread Go to post #13, this is how it's been done with the 300zx front calipers which are the same design as what you have I believe. Not sure on the rears.
  3. I have a WRX wagon I drive in the winter, if this would let me raise it up for the few days where there's deep snow on the roads and leave it low the rest of the time I'd be psyched.
  4. I came across this part on the Z Specialties website: Sub Frame Connector Kit It's $700 and the cross bracing an additional $150. Seems expensive, but from the number and length of the welds it looks like someone took a bit of time to make them. Has anybody used these? Opinions if they're better or worse than the Bad Dog option? Would the x-brace be a big improvement? The BD site is currently not working, so I don't have pictures to compare. If someone could add pictures of their version please do. Thanks for the help!
  5. Cool idea, you should try it so we have real photos of how it looks. I've tried welding plastic before, it's a PITA and the results have been marginal at best. However, I've stuck plastics together easily, quickly, and permanently with this stuff: I'd buy a set of the both the orange and clears so you've got new pieces to work with. If you do a nice, clean cut you could possibly join the pieces at the ends and make it look stock. Go for it and take photos!
  6. Some of it is here: http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/tech/GearRatios.html
  7. Those are Volk TE37V wheels, here's the Modifed Mag article about that car including the wheel/tire specs: http://www.modified.com/features/modp-1012-1974-nissan-fairlady-z/viewall.html
  8. I was beginning to think that they were some kind of custom seat, I have yet to find any seats from that era with the shoulder flares. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. Hi All, Would somebody be able to identify these seats? They're in the Mastermind NA Spirit Rei S13. Supposedly Skyline seats, but I can't find any that look like these. They look like these combined with a modern racing seat: Thanks for the help!
