  1. Free shipping? yes. I ordered it today............less the cart. Will let you know if there are any problems with this this dealer. Do not expect any problems with the welder. chris
  2. After reading many posts here on welding, I'm about 98% set on the Millermatic 175. Bigger than I think I need, I haven't wired my garage yet so 220v is no problem. Best price I've found is: http://store.weldersplus.com/mil907049.html Just wondered if any of you had dealt with these guys? TIA chris

  4. Guys, thanks so much for your response. I apologize for not mentioning that I had searched and found approx 500 posts, then further filtered those results. I did find one recurring term that prob applies to my question, "junk primer". I will assume from your answers that anything found at Autozone, Advance, etc should be classified as "junk primer" Thanks for the welcome, I have lurked here far longer than I have posted. The depth of knowledge here is unreal and as I stated in my first post, everyone here seems very mature. Quite frankly, I have become tired of the flame wars on several of the forums I have participated on in the past. Once again, thanks. chris edit: see http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=15030 for "Before"
  5. My newly aquired Z has been dissassembled, now it's rust repair and metal prep. Is it OK to use rattle can primer once the metal has been sanded or brushed bare? Any brand better than the other. I would hate to find out way down thw road that my paint job won't stick because I did step one incorrectly. TIA chris
  6. I've searched here for this info and have not found what I am looking for. Will the 260 transistor ignition be suficient for a street Z? I'm planning a SU carbed L engine. No track duty, just moderate cruzin. Some of the threads refer to using a MSD 6 box in the place of the transistor box under the dash. Is this a suitable upgrade? TIA chris
  7. Yes, I have done it as well. Have a spreadsheet on the CRX with all the info you talked about including milage, service, mods, how much they all cost and worse of all, a running total of what my hobby has cost in real dollars. Got a sheet on the DD, a 94 Integra GSR, also. I still have to start a sheet for my newfound baby, a 74 260. I also have service manuals, mod info, suppliers catalogues, and a spreadsheet devoted to turbo sizing. Plugin data and it gives you points to plot on compressor maps. In short, yeah me too. chris
  8. Thanks 240hoke, super work on your ride. Your web page is one of my favorites. chris
  9. olderthanme, thanks for the encouragement. Vin is RLS30**9519 280zwitha383, I always kinda liked the CRX bodystyle......anyway, suspension consists of prokits, illumina's, poly bushings, rear swaybar (the HF did not come with one) front brakes from an integra (10.2 dia. vs 9 something) 99 Si wheels with Toyo Proxes T1S's. Now, the engine is a 95 DOHC 1.8 Integra motor. I have a 2 litre CRV motor on the stand with a T-28 turbo ready to drop in. Should be a 250 Hp 2000lb go cart. OBTY guys, this forum is so much more mature than the Honda forums. I like that a lot! chris
  10. An early 260. Floorboards gone but surprisingly little rust anywhere else. I would like to consider this my introduction to you guys. I've been lurking for a while and consider this to be "the" Z board that fits my car's plans best. It will be a wip as I've almost got my *cough*turbo CRX*cough* done. First off, rust repair, then suspension and brake rebuild/upgrade, paint and finally powerplant. L6, SBC, I dunno yet. Interior is completely trashed too. Anyway hello from NC. chris
