OK thanks cgsheen

Thanks cgsheen, did they start the bigger bumper shock in late 73 or is it just early 74?
-
Yes, thanks JSM I have to agree on the years. Late 1974 1/2 went to the largest bumper and shared a grill with the 280z

Sidwell that looks great, it has to turn heads when you drive down the street. Can I ask what size tires you are running? Don't know when I'll ever get to mine. Have a 57 chevy to do for a guy. He wants it completely stripped down and everything removed, repainted, and rechromed. I've got all the parts to do mine, just not the time.
I'd be proud of that car, good job.

Has everyone received this type of material before in HybridZ private messages? This site has been way to good about keeping it clean. Just wondered.

Hi mclark999,
Remember that your working with a fiberglass body now, may seem obvious but you need a ground wire now. I'm building a glass body 32 Ford right now so I've come across the same problem.

Oh bye the way Richard, welcome to HybridZ. Check out 250 GTO owners thread, in the body and paint forum. lots of reading and try the search button for 250 GTOs and Vela Rossa, there is tons of info there.
-
The company is owned and operated by John Washington, a member of this forum. A very stand up guy, well respected and very good to deal with. You won't find any better. He's the only one with the Vella Rossa, that's his baby.

Hi Chelle, Have to ask, what's the new intake? When I talked to you at Carlisle you were interested in the fuel injection system that looked like Weber's. Any hints or pictures of what it will be? Will you be making Carlisle this year? Import and kit car May 16 - 18 for those who might want to go.
-
Hi Boy From Oz,
I believe that all the kits came with the back tail light panel blank, that is no holes cut in it. This left the tail lights up to the builders discretion.
-
DUKE your front end looks exactly like mine which is a Stable. Can't say about the rest of the car since mine has the back and doors of a VR, cut and modified for a coupe. Hope this helps, a picture of the rear tail light area will help identify the rear.

VinhZXT I'll go along with the G-nose so we could use it for a plug and see if we could get a quality mold. Then build them....

Try this thread below, start at the top you'll find a web site that sells a Jag bellhousing for the 5sp, also DOT who had a V12 Z car has his web site of this thread. He was giving me instructs ion on building a bellhousing for a six speed.

ZGTO Be careful of the Cobra seats, and what they are made of. I had them in the FFR Cobra I built and they were made of fiberglass. With a mild 5.0 Ford gt engine they flexed badly under hard acceleration. I don't think they will last.

Hi Glenn Did you pick up your DB7? They are neat cars, I got to sit in the James Bond car at the 64 worlds fair. No one at the fair that day and the girl standing by it saw I had more than a casual interest in it and let me under the velvet rope. That was neat for a 13 yr old. Got Pictures of yours? As far as you hanging out here I hope you do, you've got a lot of info stored up stairs. I know I'll need to pick your brain. Right now I too have gotten off the Z car path and bought a Corvette off E-Bay. I promise to use the profits from it to finish my v12 GTO.
Good luck with that DB7, are you going to leave it stock or maybe put a DETT26 in it? LOL Share some pictures please.

Hi Glenn,
Can't believe you sold your V12Z, what's next? Thanks for the flywheel tip, I'll have to go out to the garage and play with that for awhile. Got side tracked this summer and didn't touch the Z at all. Just picked up a repoed Vette to fix and I promise the profits will go to the 250 GTO V12. thanks again on that flywheel.

A guy from Pa, member name Barcu built a couple of nice engine compartments.

The BMW v12 were put into a 11 inch stretched Fiero chassis for the lambo kits. If the kit uses a stock wheelbase Fiero chassis it won't fit. Which kit do you have?

Trevor, thanks for that site, that would be my best bet. Save a lot of work.
Scottie-GNZ They made the bellhousing on the turbo 400 with the Jag bolt pattern, I've got one but can't see this car with an automatic tranny.
Thanks guys, there is a lot of good info here.

Weld the roof back on
in Fabrication / Welding
Posted
I have two Z's a 72 with bad rot and a 78 really great shape that someone started a convertible with. I just wondered if It would be worth the effort to weld the roof from one to the other and are they the same? Thanks.
