is really the only way to change the boost levels by getting a boost controller? i have never had a turbo car before, and im getting an 83 280zx turbo all stock, and would just like to up the boost a little for some added power.

i guess sometimes i do things the way that will cost me more money. i would just take to a machine shop and have them check to make sure its flat. ya it will cost more money, but why cut corners when doing something like this. -

what are some of the things that should have been done as normal maintence and changed. i know that they really just changed the oil regularly and that was about it.

OK, im getting an '83 280zx turbo and the car has sat for the past 10 years or so. The reason it was parked was because it had stopped running and they never got it fixed. So basically I am wondering where should i start and what should I do? I have always been around cars in the past and now, just never had a Datsun, or any turbo car in that matter. Thanks in advance for all your help, Adam

u know i just sat here and read that, and i do believe i might be more stupid after reading that. there is no way that car could keep up with a street bike. some people just think they have the fastest car in the world. and the one guy saying that he beat a viper. what kind of crack do they sell out there to make people this crazy?

I was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to get a microfiche cd for an '83 280zx turbo? I know that Courtesy Nissan has it but they want $70 for it. Also if someone has a service manual on cd I would be interested. The Courtesy site doesnt have one listed for it. Thanks, Adam

thats crazy...i dont have a Z just yet, but i do have an opel and last week when i was on vacation, someone broke into the car and only stole the battery...seems to be like alot of trouble to go through for a battery...oh and they stole the waste oil container that i had, which had about 10 quarts of used oil in it...

congrats...i may be getting a 81 280zx turbo for free...it was a family members who passed away some time ago and just has been sitting around...
