I've had ACs in all my cars, and I've never really attempted to take them out which is why I am asking this question. So the air coming from the defroster is from the heater, but the air coming from the vents to warm up the interior is not even though I have it on the heater setting? Could they both be a ducting of control issue? Do you know of the ac parts I can take off in the interior as well?

I could not find what I need searching the forum so maybe someone can help me with my 1972 240z! 1. I want to keep my heater but is it possible to ditch the AC stuff under the dash while keeping a heater? All the under the hood stuff has been taken out already but I'm not sure what I can take out under the dash. 2. I'm still getting air and I assume its coming from the heater but it's not getting hot. It is however coming from the spots I want it to but why is it not heating up? I just want to be safe and not mess things up more because my defroster works great, I just wish the car would get a little heat. Thanks!

I've been searching and I couldn't find too much info on the Z32 brake upgrade for 240z. I was just wondering if anyone has had any success in the swap? I want to run them in the front and back. I was also wondering who else besides Modern Motorsports sales the 240sx rear caliper brackets because I'm thinking the z32s would work on that? No sure, if any knowledge on this please let me know! Thanks

Cant wait to see this!

I was wondering last night if ground controls would get me this low? I just want to be able to slam mine on 15s with a little tuckage and no zg flares but a small fenter roll.

Nice! What coilovers are you using? Are you still going with the Rota Shakotans?

I read the web page wrong. I thought it was $50 for the pillowball mount, so I was just going to buy those and make the plates, but the $50 item is for the upper hat systems. My fault! Definitely going to get these. Thanks guys.

I was looking at the TTT camber plates and was thinking they look like a simple design. I was wondering if anyone has fabbed their own camber plates for their Z? I know it sounds crazy but I was thinking it might save me a couple of bucks! Matt

The stock motor was frozen/done which was why I just decided to upgrade to the honda motor. I was able to figure out the wireing today and i got it running perfect in low speed, high speed still runs great but it still jerks a little but my amperage isn't jumping anymore. I think I just have to play with it a little more. The wireing diagrams i got off line were completely wrong.haha I really appreciate your help Miles! Thanks!

I havent hooked up the wipers yet because i wanted to make sure the motor was running correctly. Im not to sure about the motor its self, i got it out of a 97 accord at a junk yard and i dont think theres any shorted wires, everythink works but my blinkers.

Well the only fuse that was popping was the one for the wiper motor and thats the one i upgraded since it is a newer motor. In classicz there is an article on how to make it park but im not to worried about that. I think i might need to upgrade my alternator for the swap since its making my amps jump up and down, or i have something wrong with the wireing.

Hey everyone I got it all wired up now! I still have one problem though and the motor doesn't spin consistently, it'll go fine then slow down the speed up again etc. especially in the high speed mode. I replaced all my fuses with 30 amp fuses because it was popping the fuse before. Now it doesn't pop fuses but the motor doesn't spin consistently. Any ideas on what it might be? Thanks Matt

Brakes hissing?
mattausten23 replied to mattausten23's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Yea both those problems popped into my head. I drove a Z with a bad brake booster once and it felt the same as my car did when I brake. Guess it's time for a brake upgrade! Any suggestions? -
Hi everyone, today I drove my 1972 240z to my friends house today and stepped on the brakes after warming up the car and noticed a hissing sound coming from the pedal. Then after that I noticed that the RPMs were jumping about 500 when I pushed on the brakes. Also when I drove it the brakes sucked. I drove the car yesterday for a while and it was driving great. It was just today this problem came up. I haven't had any time to look at it today but I just wanted to get some ideas on what it might be. Thanks everyone! Matt

I saw some 002s on a 240sx today. I think that is the route I'm going. I just really like the look of the SSR longchamps and thought the 501s were similar, but I'm going 002s since I can get them in 15x9! I want to stagger them. I would have to get the 0 offset right? Also would I have to make any mods to run 9 inch wide in the rear? I'm stock everything right now. I would still like to see that pic of the 501s if your snapped it though! Thanks! -

Yeah I believe they're 4lug. Also I think they do require a spacer because they have +15 offset i believe. How do you like your 002s? Those were my first choice! -
Hi everyone! Well the wiper motor on my 72 240z is frozen but I want to upgrade to the Honda one. Now the AtlanticZ step by step guide had a 1994 accord motor installed so I was wondering if this is the right one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WIPER-MOTOR-Honda-Accord-CL-1994-94-1995-95-96-97-98-99-/310338098704?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1994|Make%3AHonda|Model%3AAccord&hash=item4841979610#ht_1619wt_1167. I've been reading the wiper motor thread on here and all the links are dead and it wouldn't allow me to post on it. Also what other items might I need to do this? I noticed that people were using a new switch but not sure if it was just for test purposes? Please let me know! It's my daily driver. Matt
