  1. Finally found some free time to finish my turbo swap, and the car will start but, not rev.The afm tested out ok and all of the wiring is hooked up correctly. The car will run for a while and then just die.It is an 83 turbo motor with the 83 harness and ecu.If anyone knows what the problem may be?Please let me know asap.
  2. I just finished installing an 83 l28et into my 80 280zx n/a.I want to bypass my original relay and install my own relay.I tapped into the fuel pump harness on the positive behind the seats and ran a single wire to my own relay and left the ground on the harness alone. To make a long story short.Should i just cut the plug,Run the power from the pump harness to the new relay and just ground the - fuel pump wire. If anyone can help me out.I would greatly appreciate it.
  3. Can i just make my own fuel pump relay and bypass my original one?If so,where can i buy one?
  4. I am almost finished with my turbo swap and the fuel pump wiring is all that needs to be done.I can't figure out how to wire the fuel pump.81-83 n/a is different from my 1980. There is one blue-red wire running on the turbo harness plug by the battery that is supposed to be for the fuel pump(i think) and the green wire is from my main harness is for the fuel pump from my original set up.I just need to know what wires tie into to the fuel pump relay to get my fuel pump to turn on.This is all i need to get my car running. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hello all....This is my first post on hybridz and no i am not new to z's.I am not getting much help on zcar.com and need some answers. I have searched and searched on here and still can't figure out the wiring for the turbo harness.I am putting an 83 l28et motor in my 1980 280zx n/a.The wiring by the battery is confusing me.I know white and yellow wires aren't used (i think) and there is a green blue- red wire and black-white.Do i just spade connect the two wires together? And now the coil wiring.Bleach explained to me through some very helpful emails about the wiring and i pretty much did what he told me to do.I wired the + n/a and neg n/a wiring from my coil to the + - on the turbo coil. Then wired the transistor back to prong five on the ignition plug by the ecu. The other tranistor wire is suppost to be grounded. As bleach mentioned. How do i ground the wire?I am getting more and more confused with all of this and need some quick answers. I will take some pics tomorrow and post the wiring locations i mentioned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
