thank you! i fixed the problem by hitting the ignition key by hummer for couple times. as you said probably the ignition key is broken, i guess better change it asap. thank you !

hi. last night i drove back from work. when i got home i turned the key to stop the car. however, what happned was the key turned but the engine didn't stop. and i couldn't turn the key back,the key turns clockwise but as if i am trying to start the car(to run starter). so i had to disconnect the battery in order to stop the car. i can start the car just connecting the battery and starting the starter. i don't know how to explain this situation. anyone had similar experience?

hi, people. hope all your Zs are running fine. I found out that one of the four bolts of left front wheel was broken. i started to hear strange sound from the front couple days ago but wans't too worried about it. however, today when i drove my car to school the sounds was loud so checked my car. i couldn't believe it happened. one bolt and nut were gone. now, is it dangerous to drive my car under this situation? well, i will try to fix it but won't be able to do it until this weekend. and is it hard to change the parts? help me guys!!!

finally, decided to go SUs. I got a great offer from Tim. i guess the mooney i save will go on to to towwer bars, new muffler,etc thanx Tim!

thank you everybody. i'm still wondering whether i should go solexs or SUs. SU sounds lot easier and cheaper,too. considering my money situation i guess i better go SUs. but triple set up is what i wanted since i got the car.... Solexs SUs fuel pump $70 $100-150 (Tim??) puel regulator $30 probably no labor linkages $200 total $100-150? labor $300?? Total $600? what you guys think? any opinion?

thank you guys.i really appreciate. i'm going triple solex 40 because the flat tops i got are leaking gas. i'm not expecting any power gain(well, i guess i will gain some, since the carbs i got now sucks). what i'm looking for is carbs that are working and the sound of triples. it sounds like i don't need to go triple with my set-up. round tops sound better. but i guess i'll have triples installed. i already got parts for triples and i like the sound they make. btw, how is the sound of SUs with air horns? do they sound like the triples? i really like the sounds of the triples. if SUs sound like triples i might change my plan.

hi. i am going to install triple solex carbs inmy '73 240z. i got manifold, carbs and will get linkage from Top-End performance. I was told that i need to change fuel pump and put fuel pressure regulator. What kind of pumps and regulators are good? my plan is to get both from MSA. or is there cheaper ones? also, is it hard to chage mechanical fuel pump to electrical one? i am not a mechanic and am wondering whether i should give it a try or go to shop before i mess my car.(if i do it, the car has to be done in one weekend, otherwise i won't able to go to work) thanx

hi. i am going to get three solex(mikuni) carbs from italian guy on ebay. and am wondering if i should rebuid them or not. probably it is better but i would like to if it is easy to rebuld them before i end up messing them up. have any of you done it? and was it easy? and what will i need to rebuild them? thanx

hi. thanx for the information. looks either blow-thru or injection are more complicated than i thought. i will keep searching and learn about turbo set-up until i get enough money to try turo my Z.

three of the wheel are just lips, but one of them is in really bad shape. but i will try to have them fixed by the shop you had yours done. please tell me how to get to the shop. i will be driving from south toward north on 405.thanx

hi. i went to jank-yard last weekend since all the parts were on sale on that day(50%off!!!). i found turbo ex-manifold, j-pipe and turbo. at that time i didn't know what i waas going to do with that stuff since i have 240z withL24. however, after talking with my friend we ended-up planning L24 Draw-Thru Turbo with Twin-SUs. after we have planned that i went over web looking for some tips. and here is the plan i have. since i am new to turbo and mechanical stuff please help me! get single weber carb set-up to make it easier(my SUs are late model which could cause a lot of problems), install ex-manifold, j-pipe and turbo. then make a sarge-tank to let the air go thru weber. in addition get turbo fuel pump. this is the plan i have. seems to work for me but, again, since i am new to swap things around i am not confident. please if anyone have done this and know what to do. please help me! i know swap turboL28 and Ecu will be lot easier but this is all i can afford for now!!!!!!! thanx!
