    E12-80

At-jefft, that was one of the right ups we were using. However there were several steps in his right up that we didn't have actually on our car. That's why we came here. It's been quite difficult for us to figure out which distributor we have and where this condensor he refers to actually is. In fact he states that he not quite sure where it is either. And in the photo he states that he believes it's mounted on the passenger strut tower. If that's in fact it. It's no longer on our car. To say the least it's a wiring nightmare:/. Thanks for the replys!

We will try an post pictures of what we have. We purchased a new e12-80 in hopes of getting it running again with what info we had gathered. The new e12-80 has the "b" and "c" connections along with a blue and black/white wire running out of the side. I would assume those two wires would be what you are referring to as the internal conncetions? What part does the condensor play? Is it needed?

I'm unsure I this is the correct place to post our question. If so mods please feel free to move it. We have been trying to hook up our new e12-80 unit and are having trouble getting it to work properly. We have been doing plenty of research trying to find proper wiring diagrams and walk throughs. This has been on going for atleast three weeks. What are the minimum wires needed to get the car to actually run? We are having trouble locating the condensor needed as well. The engine is an F54 block with the N36 intake and 3 screw su carbs. The body is a 1975. The car was running with the ignition control module that was place inside the passenger kickpanel. At the moment I'm insure what it's correct reference is or which style electric distributor we have. The distributor has a single red and a single green wire coming from it. If I need to list anymore info that would be helpful please let me know. Thanks, Preston.
  4. Ok sorry I'm posting off of my cell and didn't notice the other pages and comments related to venting into the cowl. My apologies.
  5. I've noticed several threads pertaining to heat and high pressure issues in the engine bay of z cars. Some have vented into the fender well area. I'm curious to know if venting the firewall into the cowl area would be beneficial or detrimental. In theory it should keep the air moving and reduce the high pressure and heat issues. We personally plan on doing it to ours as a guinea pig if it hasn't been tried before. Any thoughts?
