  1. but wait there's more... http://www.zeeyalater.net/mods.htm#revlimiter
  2. ...you have the bolt all the way out? I think it has a divet in the shaft so it only goes one way, that thru bolt will hold it on the shaft. if the bolt is out, hit it harder/seperate the split!
  3. PB blaster and some light hammer hits... just enough to get it free.
  4. yes it will sound awesome, but will be quite loud. cops and old people will definately look at you more! thats why i have a magnaflow muffler on mine. still sounds great and flows well through the straight thru-ness of it!
  5. if you have a turbo car, it will sound good, but be too loud. i had stock piping all the way back, minus the cat and muffler. sounded sexxay, but too loud. at least thats what the state trooper told me. if anything, get a magnaflow!
  6. speaking of a/b vs. W series, ive noticed that i have the serp./v belt combo. while having a 3/87 car, i also have LSD...havent had a chance to look for the W on the block, but i now wonder about the 4/87 rule.
  7. ive replaced the T3 in my 87 with relative ease... pull the steering shaft, unbolt from below and above - a lift helped alot, but its doable for anyone with a jack. i think the flange bolts are 17mm, and you have to bend down some tabs. besides almost forgetting the oil feed, and coolant lines, the only difficult part was manuvering it out from the car. i THINK i pulled it from below, but it was over a year ago... although - im not entirely sure how much diff. the mounting setup of the T25 is vs. the T3.
  8. PM me. i have a pair, one needs 1 new stud i think, and fresh bearings/seals to be right.
  9. ^who was that to? BTW, i found on wikipieda, it says that the VG30, and 33 have the same stroke...hope so... also ive found in a Nissan dealership parts dpt. that the rods from post 4/87, and the VG33 are the same. and i believe the cranks' strokes are also, but thats the determineing factor (VG30 vs. VG33 crank stroke).
  10. thanks for the link, and for anyone in the future here is a link for the rod info... http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=363610 lastly, im using a new 3L crank so my front pully matches correctly, and so my flywheel matches correctly. and i know about the difference in displacement, thats why im asking about any differences in the RODS, i know the pistons are larger. i want to be sure the VG30 crank works correctly with the VG33 block, rods, etc. finally, (sorry for the bit of rant) - thanks for the link.
  11. i have an 85 NA 300ZX, suposedly has 400K miles...lol. i also have aquired a 60K mi. VG33 with spun rod bearing. when i got the motor has no rod caps though. the question is, would i be able to just swap the whole rod+rod caps from my Z, to the VG33? using new bearings of corse. i also plan to get a new (85 VG30) crank, oil pump, and main bearings. the plan=
