  1. Alright thats it, i'll filter to crankcase vent somewhere somehow, nice looking and just hook the tank vent straight up to the airclea ner
  2. only thing is from what i hear that vacuum switch isnt available any more and all the ones you can get are all junk...is this wrong?
  3. if i were to cap the crankcase vent would that be a bad thing? could it hurt the egnine eventually? if so should i screen it somehow? or would jsut capping it be okay? thanx guys, how about just putting a straight tee with all three connected and let the vacuum needs handle themselves? could that harm either the tank or the crankcase in some way? with foreign fumes?
  4. thanx for the pics that helps quite a bit
  5. whats fine, getting a tee and just hookin all three up? i dont knwo about thatl but it might jsut work; next a time machine; sorry inside joke, isnt there a fume vent for a reason, blocking it off couldnt cause a problem? in some way, i dont knwo how it could but im sure there would be a reason for the vent? no?
  6. ALright guys, so i have a battery charging issue, brand new battery, new voltage regulator (external); the battery will charge when i have the car reved up, i had to jump start it to get it workin, and after about ten minutes at idle (600 RPM) it still would not restart afterwards; yet after running for about the same amount of time at 2,000 RPM it started right up, didn't check lights or anything durign the day; the voltmeter inside the vehicle still shows a charge, moves with revving and all as well; perplexed. Also when driving it the other day the radio would work as long as the engine was runnin above 1,000 RPM and would die at idle. Any ideas? Thanx for you help, anything to ovague or missing in this description let me know and i'll fill it in
  7. yea thanx guys, i ask on zcar.com and that hose from the tank on the firewall/the downward facing nipple on the airfilter/and the crankcase nipple. should all be routed through a fume switcher that goes from the carbs to the crankcase depending on temperature; i doubt just hookin them all three to each other would be okay...just a thought, any suggestions?
  8. 9. I was told my car would be ready for me to pick up last weekend, but could not receive due to a race weekend; figured monday would be jsut as good as friday. I come Monday; maybe a long weekend, tuesday? Maybe he's sick, wednesday? I have no idea, maybe went on vaca without letting me know, beggining to worry about my car, Thursday? Still not around, getting frustrated; anyone know where hes been, or at, or when hes comin home? All of the above?
  10. this is true, the sspension is mouted perpendicular to the rotating force of the wheel and rotor, so on a car it has no effect, it may have an effact on the suspension on a motor cycle because of the parralel nature of the suspension with the rotor and wheel, although the second you put any force of braking into the car the brakes ahve nothing to do with anythign anymore, ats all about the chassis, jsut mount the caliper where it is easiest to get at and chages pads
  11. Its not the same millers imports, he said he gets calls about the same question all the time, even complaints torwards him about the other peoples work, yea, so no picts or even any stores, the car shoudl be back at me this weekend, so i'll let you know on pricing
  12. havnt come through yet, but ive partially paid 800, hes goin completely through it
  13. Yea, i'll talk to him about it ,maybe print out a picture, but he's a great guy, he might even be on here for all i know. I have owned my 240 for almost 6 years now; and alll i did to ir was take the engine out and rebuild it(myself) and take parts off of it to have it eventually painted. I gave him the car to work on, for me of course, and within two and a half weeks, he had it runnin and ready; it had no engine in it, no trans, no drive shaft, the engine was completely apart, and he had to take to sets of sus and make them one, and all did it in less than three weeks; i was amazed, i suggest him to anyone in the area
  14. Is that sponsored by Miller IMports of Pasadena? Skip Miller? because thats where my car is at right now, hes a great guy
  15. Looking to buy one, and seems like from what i read it is a good intake, does anyone here actually have proof of it, and would say that 50 bucks it worth it?
  16. Cool dude, thanx, do you have, or anyone have, any idea on which cars may have recieve quick steering knuckles?
  17. good question? does it affect the steering radius, make it a bigger circle or a smaller circle? i mean, if it isnt too bad, then im not too worried about it, pretty sure about the puchasing of these parts. Also, are the parts from The Z Store Iron, ALuminum, niehter? which is it made from?
  18. oh okay, well they seem like greaqt guys, no mistrust on their part, but im not lookin for the aluminum stuff, dont wanna have to constantly worry about the knuckles crackin or goin bad
  19. so aluminum would be bad street knuckles then huh, i dont need to be inspecting items i had just put on the car, i want something that will make it better turning wise, you dont understand i race go-karts and there is jsut that quick turning feel that i need sometimes. Im pretty sure im going to go with the Z Store Iron(correct?) knuckles LINK: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PSDC11/23-4181 Since from what i hear they'll be alittle more reliable, and im not into the whole flashyness fo the cnc'd stuff. Any info on which items can/should be replaced(upgraded) first in the suspension. Who is Dave('s Parts)?
  20. Alright so i jsut wrote the thing out, and now im too tired to rewrite it, so heres the short story. WOndering about the streetability of the set, looking to track it some here and there, will take the vehicle on trips of over 600 miles, and thinking wuick steering would get burdensome, true? LINK: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PSDC11/23-4181 On top of that, i am looking to go through the entire suspension and upgrade, but cant afford big chunks at once, in which order can i go through it without an upgraded piece wearing out a stock piece before i have funds to go and up that piece? Thanx Guys:lol:
  21. ALrighty then, how easy is it to adjust the camber kit, i mean obviously im going to have to adjust it but i dont want to have to go through such a process as it is to adjsut the SUs you know; or is it as simpl as loosen a nut and turn the bushings? thanx again
  22. I got a question abouth streetability of the Camber kit offered in the Master Bushing Kit, as well as is there any fabrication needed to instal this kit, im not looking to fabricate anythign to get some extra performance, also, would this camber kit work; that is if its streetable, with the tokico illumina/eibach progressive set-up? For a 1972 240z, all stock besides the engine...which i will have info posted as everyone else seems to have al well, after tonights xmas shopping; Although im fairly sure it is streetable i am generally concered with the tire wear, i dont wanna be goin through tire like a mad man because they wear too much on the inside of the rubber; thanx guys Heres the link to the kit, to give you a better idea of what i am talkin about (http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PSDC06A/23-4100K) '72 240z, F54, L28, 0.030 Overbored, Flattop Pistons, Mild Race Cam w/ 480 Lift, Internally Oiled Cam, Early:( E88 Head, E88 Intake, Dual Roundtop SUs, 4-Speed Trans, Front Air Dam w/ No Air Ducts, MSA 6-2-Stock Exhaust, ZX Alloy Rims.
