Im picking out my intercooler for my L28ET, and everyone I see runs a long pipe across the engine bay from the turbo to the far side of the intercooler. Why does no one use a same side exit/entrance front mount? http://s1.promotionsupplies.com/ebay/just-intercoolers4/images/intercoolers/au-ic0005_23x11x3_v3.jpg Iv always noticed and been told with less intercooler piping that your turbo would spool faster.. You could cut out that whole 2.5ft pipe. Am I missing something to this?

didn't know how to word it sorry. what motor is that in a 83 turbo 280zx

So I have a 76' 280z with a seized block in it and 4 speed trans in it. I'm thinking about buying this 79' 280zx with a turbo 82' motor and a 83' trans and diff. What would I need to put that motor and trans in my 76'? Would I be able to use the brakes, or springs/shock setup? I'm very new to this sorry if this is a dumb thread/question

I've read through many build threads but I can't find just a list of what I need I'm looking to do an RB25DET into my 1976 280z all of the builds I have seen are for 260z which are carbed so they get tangled up in the fuel mess.I have a rolling shell with the stock trans, diff, and driveshaft and have a fuel cell as well.I already have the rb already front mount and I had seen a link for a company that makes plug and play harnesses so once I find that company again Im going to purchase a harness from them. What do I all need from what car? an rb25 trans, computer, and the stock motor mounts? what trans mounts do I use?
