i like it... cant wait till i paint mine.

Found it it was my alternator. I took it to get it checked out and it failed their test 3 times got a new one and I was on the road.

Looks like u got some small holes... Make sure u treat both side of the metal and you should. You could just add a little filler to cover them up but definitely treat the metal with pot 15

i have the same ones, and it took me a while but mine are perfect and i didnt have to replace the glass... the only issue is that everyone is intrigued by the fender mirrors and wants to touch them...
That's funny... I have the same issue.... Most people like it. They say its different and kinda funky but they like it then there goes the hands..
-
There is a LHD one floating around here. I did a quick search and found it.
-
Dude did u figure out ur problem? I think I have the same issue. My fuel pump will die then the car will die then it won't even crank over I have to let it COO off a little. I have a 260 l28 carburated and I think its that little tube thing behind the alternator. Alternator is also internally regulated.

Ya they're usable I found some round glass in autozone for 2 something here is what I did. I took out the flat glass (it screws out) then I put the autozone mirror on and all you have to do is glue it in place and it works perfect. The mirror has a groove all around like it was meant to be there and it doesn't look like it was a mikey mouse job. I'm at work right now when I get home ill take more pics.

Clutch problem solved itook the car out for a test drive to see how it would drive and it needs a couple other things like an alternator,u joint, flashers relay or switch for the turn signals. Other than that it was great!!! Can't wait til its fully functional I'm even more pumped to work on it. I still haven't washed it though I want to sand and fix the rust before I wet it. I really appreciate evereyones help thank you all.

Happy B-day man... Search on here about clutch push rods. I seem to remember something about that issue. I know the brakes have the reaction disk, but a short pushrod too sounds familiar. I dunno if you can just unscrew it out a bit, or if you'd have to replace it to a more modern one. There also might be a Pedal travel adjustment. When you put in the Clutch master, was it bench bled first? You might have air bubbles causing it not to work quite right.
Phar
Thanks you... I swaped out the rod to the new clutch master cylinder I have full travel of the pedal I still need to bleed them though

Well I got it registered and I wanted to drive it today but that stupid clutch master cylinder I got from autozone the push rod is too short and won't fully engage the clutch. Dang I really wanted to drive it for my b-day today well we'll see tommorow.

Today is a good day. I started the z for the first time not the way I wanted it to start but it ran. I think I have a bad ignition switch beause it won't start using the ignition switch it would just click somewhere by the fuse block. I checked all my grounds and still nothing. I finally used a screwdriver at the starter to check if it would turn over and it started. My conclusion is new ignition switch then go from there. Any other I deas?

Well I took out the old flywheel and it was very mucho bad. I replaced the clutch and flywheel. Im still wondering what could of caused it to wear like that. Tomorrow I will install the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. After im done I will try and start it. Wish me luck

Hey Can't complain, those old skool centerline rims were the Shuzizit back in the day. I really wonder how long it was sitting with the tires that badly degraded. You might consider dropping the tank befor eyou do anything just to be sure you don't have a chum biscuit of crap in there. The thing about surface rust, is it's often hiding a ton of cruddy rust under the paint that hasn't broken through yet. Get a DA sander and some primer and cut through a couple spots to see what I mean. You can rattle can them to keep it sorta the right color till you can get a full paint setup. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with the car. It looks like you've got a decent basis to start with.
Ha rust that's funny... I took a good look at my inside of my floor pans and found a bunch of that (cruddy) rust and on the pass side got a few holes about a nickle in diameter. The driver side has one about 3inches ling and half inch wide. The pass side frame rail is smashed like a beer can because I tried jacking it up and crush. Lots of rust. Ill replace part of the frame rail and parch those holes. I do have small holes on the pannels but not much I'm not too woried about those. I do have a welder and some welding experience (kind of) will post pix of it later.

So now that you've shown it off, what's the plan? Resto? Mod? Sell? Part?
Ill be fixing her up and make her my daily driver.
