Thanks, it took a while, like 9 years but she was a shell when I got her. Very fun car. ran 6.30s on a 150 shot with the old vorteck motor and now running 6.50s on pump gas with the new motor. Have yet to hit the sauce. -

Thank's for your input. I did like them back when I turned 16 but Mom said no. I was just thinking it would be a fun car to play with. Then being a ZX up the boost and see what would happen. Here is my 73 240Z -

Blackice, So the auto are no good or junk to say the least? The motor motor is out and just sitting on the floor with the new motor in the car and up and running. been a 6.50 @ 104 with a 1.48 60ft on pump gas. street car. I would like the money for it but then I also dont want to just hold the motor and let it sit on the floor. -

sorry the car has 210K on her also. Was told it needs an alternator. Also was told all the lights are on in the dash due to this. Sound right? Can thses motor's be modded to make/hold more power/boost and still be daily driven without dumping alot of money into it? -
Thanks for yall input, Here is the deal I built a new motor for my 240z "396 sbc" and I am trying to sell my old motor. I have a guy who is wanting to trade me a 82 280zx. First thought was this could be a nice trade but then after the pic's and the more infor I get I am not so sure anymore. So my question is what do you think this car is worth and do ya think I should take her over? I am asking 1600 for the motor I am selling.

No sir sad to say it wasnt me, I think you are talking about a guy they call hell yeah. which his car is black now. but I would love to see the pic's who doesnt like to see two cars draggin the back bumper. I can say I have only almost done it once and I was not ready for it, let out and went a 6.19 @ 112mph But yes i have ran out at Denton a few time's but mainly kennadale due to I lived in Irving and drive the car to and from the track. I have not yet been to redline.

The bumpers are fiberglass so i had them painted.

Yeah I can't wait to take her back out, waiting on a new starter now. I run the car at Kennadale, Denton, and yellow belly. Havent been to ennis yet but would like to.

Thanks for all kind words, She is very fun to drive. The hard part is just trying to drive around without putting your foot in it. The car really turns heads now. I havent drove her much due to I think a ground might have gotten painted, the lights are not all working. Like the brake lights will work as long as the lights are not turned on and so on.

The work was done at a friend of a buddy shop, which he paints planes and then has a body shop on the side due to he only works there 3 days a week.

Pretty much I am tickled pink, I have not driven the car since may of last year. I almost forgot just how fun a 240z was to drive with a 470hp sbc in it. The car looks great. sorry for the cell phone pic's the real ones will come later. Oh and yes it was very cloudly when I picked her up. The last pic was taken with the new shoes on her m/t dr 275 60 15

Ok guy's here's the deal, I just got the car back from paint which I had all the side markers removed. So here is my question or my problem the driver side head light is way brighter that the other, and then the tail/brake lights are barley even on? So because the markers are not hooked up can that cause a problem said with an electric say circit? Sorry I am not sure if say they all need to be conceted for a circit, not sure how everything works. If somebody has a diagram of the wiring that would be great. It's a 73 240z Thanks for all yall help Chad ps i will try to post pic of the car in the paint section

No, its just the way the pictures came out, they were taken with my cell. I will post some better picures once its all done with a real camera.

Well my poor little Z now has some paint on her, but my question is flat black or semi on the tail light panel? Here is some pic's of the before and after. I am so ready to drive her again, poor thing as been in the shop since last May.

What MSD retard box can be controlled from in the car or atleast set up to only retard timing when the nitrous is used? Thanks for the help so far! Guy I'm useing the MSD 3-step retard box, it is mounted in the car, on the side of the passanger foot area. its wired up to the noids so once they come on it retards the timing. The box comes with pills so you just put in the pill with how ever much timing you want to be pulled out. hope this helps -

i run two fuel systems also, with a 3 step retard box to pull out the timing. better to be safe than sorry. plus i need to be able to make the drive home. -

lol no sir it wasn't me. i think your thinking of a guy they call "hell yeah". yes this car in the pic is mine and i have been out at denton but it was about 2 years ago when the car had the IRS still in it. I haven't been to redline yet, kinda a far drive since i drive the car from Irving. oh and that wheel stand was the very 1st time it has ever came up that high, I went from a 150shot to a 250 and i guess she liked it. nah a little rivalry/trash talk never hurt anybody, part of the sport. -

i run my car at yellow belly, kennedale, and denton. i'm sure a buddy of mine could do it for ya. yeah we will have to meet up so you can take a look at it. i will talk to him and see if he could help you out. He did most of my work on my car for me. I couldn't have done it with out the help of my friends. -

yeah i know him. yes he sold jasons old sivler z and now is beatting up people on the street with from what i have heard is a tube chassi z with a 400+ sbc
