  1. We have many times pulled it off and spent some time using a mirror to look around inside there, but have come up with nothing.
  2. Whenever it rains out, water will drip inside the car from underneath the dash only on the passenger side. We just had new weather stripping put on and this didn't solve the problem. Today when I was washing it, we used the hose to try and figure out where it was comming it. When we'd poor the water over the cowling on the passenger side, water would start to immediatley drip in underneath the dash. We toor all the carpet out on the passenger side to let it all dry out since the carpet got soaked. We cleaned all the dirt and debrit that has collected in there from over the years and the drain tubes seem to work fine. The small rubber drain hose underneath the dash is not cracked and looks fine. This leak cannot be seen when laying underneath the dash while water is being poored in the cowling because of the kick panels. We're thinking of maybe pooring a sealent that will harden into that cowling area to see if it will seel up any cracks. What kind of sealent would you recommend for this? Thanks!
  3. I've got one more question for you. The idler pulley makes a little noise and I'm thinking the bearing probably needs to be replaced. Do you know of where I can get one of these? I'll try Nissan and see what I come up with.

  5. Hey guys, I'm going to be putting on a compressor off a 260z on to my 280, and it would be real helpful to have a picture of one already installed. It would be great if somebody could post a picture of how their compressor is mounted. Thanks!
  6. I had Car Toys install it for me, so I'm not sure to be honest about that. I've decided to just go with a regular fully automatic one.
  7. We had some electrical work done on my 280 last month to go over the wiring and replace some of the old corroted wires and connections. One of the things they did was put a different style fusible link set up which loses the fusible link covers, so here's a picture of what it looks like. Thought you guys might be interested in seeing it.
  8. Hey guys, I'm looking for a 1976 280z antenna switch. I replaced the orginal radio which had it mounted on it, and now need a way of making it go up and down. I will eventually replace it with a fully automatic antenna, but for the time being, I need something to make it go up and down. Let me know if you have one, thanks. (I didn't know where to put this post, so if it's in the wrong section, feel free to move it)

  10. If I recall correctly, I think I read some where that you can swap a 240sx throttle body on an L28 for more hp? Is this true and have any of you done it by chance? Just curious if this is true and would love to hear a more about it if it's something that can be done because it might be a good future mod possibly down the road.

  12. Well guys the deal fell through with my friend and I, apparently a friend of his offered him $75.00 for the header so that was the end of it for me atleaste. If I do decide to one day get a header for it, I will buy a brand new one. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks guys, I just got my new one in the mail today my old one started to the thing where it would shut the injectors off and do the whiplash thing so and was also told that I need to get a new one. So I've been driving with it un plugged for a while and just today plugged the new one in, it did do the whiplash thing a couple of times right after I installed it when I took it down the street. Took it back home and adjusted it and took it for a long drive and it didn't do it once, so I'm hoping all is well.
  15. I was curious if you guys could explain to me exactly what the TPS does. I think I heard somewhere that if you disconnect it, it will en rich the mixture.
  16. Well it turns out that it is a different type of header. I went and looked at it today and learned that it is a race header. If you click on the link, it is identical to it. He is charging $60 for it.   17. Thank you for the info, the header is not ceramic coated so I'd have to get that done. What kind of things should I look for if if and when I go and view it in person? I know that the fladg needs to be flat and won't work right if not, so is there any way in particular to look to see if it is? Thanks for any additional tips and advice on what to look for.
  18. Hey guys, this is my first post. I have the opportunity to trade some wheels to a friend of mine in exchange for a used header. Before I do this, I would like to get your opinions on this first. My car is a stock 1976 280z with the stock l28 efi motor. Do you guys recommend putting headers on a stock motor like this? What should I be looking for in a used header? Right now it has a turbo muffler on it, how much more noise/power will I be getting out of it?
