  1. I didn't have any problem pulling my tank, however I have receipts stating that a previous owner had all the hoses replaced about 7 years before I did it.

If it hasn't been done in 30 years though, your going to have a problem.

  2. I would be interested. MSA's price ($795+$400 for headlight covers) has not induced me to buy it, even though I am local to them.

    I would pay $600+$100+shipping I think.

I'm attracted to the gnose because it has been proven to improve aerodynamics; I like to pretend all my modifications are functional and not just for looks. From that perspective, I would be dubious of any modifications to the Nissan design. bonk.gif

Styling is a function on a race car. If people are staring at the cars body, that helps you get sponsors.

    It seems to be working.

  4. There are two threads on the same subject, but I thought I'd answer this here to clear things up.

I bought Big Phil's wheels, and the 17x8s he had made do fit back and (according to him) front.

They measure about 4.625" from the mounting face to the inner lip. The wheel is about 9.25" from lip to lip.

I can't take any measurements on the car, because my suspension isn't on the car at the moment :D

I know several folks who just mix and match components like this, and I think David's done a good job with it. He says the ride height is unchanged and the ride is more firm - that sounds good to me, and I don't doubt it. It's a frickin' turbo spring! I'd expect it to be stiffer, more torque, more squat to counter.

If the free length of the spring is in fact longer, and the spring is stiffer, then it follows that the ride height must be higher.
  6. I pulled this off a thread at camaroz28.com:
