  1. Been a while since I have posted. Been super busy on this beast and my other baby. The car has been tucked away in my pops shop for the last few months so when the time came we did a little car shuffling Z my dad's and skyline is mine Finally time to dig in First up is suspension Guy drove the car drunk and a wheel fell off and caused this.... So we picked up this And this Also addressed the rear. I hate that pin with a passion!!! Picked up an LSD and some CV's and rear control arms. Quickly found out we need to do something with the stock control arm support the rear since the finned cover dosnt work. Picked up the power plant too More to come soon

  3. Let me introduce myself. My name is Chris and i just recently acquired my first Z car. I have been on the hunt for the last couple years. I am a regular on ratsun and have been building a built SR20det 510 for the last 2 years. It was a tough decision for me to start my first solo project car. First car i wanted was a E30 BMW but one day say a 510 on the weekend and fell in love. After searching for a 510 i found one local to me and ended up going to look at it. When i got there i noticed a Z parked in the back of this guy lot right next to the 510. I looked over the Z and was torne between the two but ultimately decided to get the 510. After a month i sold it and purchased my current 510. Sorry for the shitty pics Fast forward to now.... The other day i was doing my regular datsun search on CL and stumbled upon an Add for some guy selling two Z's 240 and 260 up in the high desert so before i knew it i called the guy and 3 hours later i was heded up there with two trucks and two trailers. The guy told me the cars were his sons back in the early 2000's and they had been sitting for some time. He said the black 240z on had a strait body and surface rust (we all know they usually play it off and there is really shit loads of rust holes) and that the car had an L26 with duel early SU's along with an upgraded rear end and 5 speed. He said the 260z was just simply a parts car and beyond repair so with that little knowledge i was ready to make a deal on the spot. Once i get up there i relise that we are in the middle of nowhere and i arrive to the sight of these two beauties There really was no visible rust on either cars other then the surface rust. I was pleasantly surprised and how strait both cars were but especially surprised at the black 240z. After some wheeling and dealing i ended up taking home both of the Z's and a random 81 510 was thrown in the bunch lol. Once i was able to get them home and start examining them more i came to find out that both cars were in fact 240's witch was a nice treat. I was also able to dig into it a little more and to my pleasant surprise the black 240 has 0 rust on the floors, 0 rust on the deck lid, 0 rust on the rockers and 0 rust in the trunk. [ As of right now the plan is to get the brown one nice and clean and sell it as a rolling shell, going to get the 510 running and sold and the black one on the other hand is going to be my new baby. Plans as of right now is to do this but we will see where time takes my taste buds. Im sure you will see me around and i hope to lear a lot for this site. Ill keep you guys poster
  4. So basically my trans went out on my Accord and it's no cheap fix and I have been toying with idea of getting a z for a little wile so what in looking for is a fresh motor and running gear. I'll need receipt varafieing the "fresh rebuild". Body can be in ok shape. No crazy damage like a rear quarter pannle hit or anything super cosmetic. I know rust is fixable but I'm looking for one with little to none. I want to stick with a 240z but if te price was right I might entertain a 260z. Let me know what you may have you can email me pics at chris@crpplumbing.com I'm building a project now do I really am not looking for another. Located by Riverside CA. No V8's
  5. Hey Chris, I did not mean to ruffle your feathers about the shipping cost but if the diff price was lower i can afford it. I ship diffs from Cali to many states and the price is approx $70.00. I'm still trying to own up to the cost and will make a decision as soon as i receive my return taxes which should be anytime soon.I have a great parts collection is there anything you're look...

  6. I have a 3.9 Long nose in SoCal if you are still looking
