  1. My tuner does know his ♥♥♥♥. My CAS is going out, but thanks for the comment. If there was any failure point between the situation and your understanding of it, it was probably due to my written explanation of the situation. This is one case where I developed a troubleshooting matrix that had repeatable results but only in a small sample of time. Over the larger sample of time the troubleshooting matrix fails due to inconsistent outcomes which in the end was due to an electronic sensor failure. Sorry I failed to include every iota of detail in the thread, I was more interested in beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of my car Cheers All! Ran out 2nd and 3rd with the following peaks: knock 29 air 58C boost 1.5bar egt 850C Guess I need to update my signature picture
  2. EGT's are now around 800/850. Air temp peak was 55. Runs like an analy raped date.
  3. timing map is fine. It was the CAS that got moved, the timing in the powerFC didn't change. But of course it needs the CAS to be set properly for the map to line up right.
  4. Yes I advanced the timing, and I'm talking in Celsius. With the timing advanced slightly I found a good balance of peak EGT's around 950/925 @ 1.4 bar with peak knock of 29. Ran like a raped date last night. I'll have to check my cold air temps next time I'm out. This is a street race car in Okinawa. It comes out of the driveway 2 nights a week. House -> Drive to Location -> Have fun at location -> Drive home. Repeat. After carefull research for months and months I'm thinking about this: 2530Kai Twins with an HKS V-Cam. Looking for about 125-175HP more than what I've got now and a FAT FAT dyno curve.
  5. Bumped my CAS counterclockwise a bit and that fixed it. EGT's are now 950 peak after a full 1st through 4th runout. Timing was not spot on, but it wasn't knocking.
  6. 2.8L HKS RB26 twin N1's 720cc/2 core ARC My tuner has checked my MAP settings, timing, A/F, everything looks fine... But I'm getting 1050C EGT's in 3rd gear @ 0.8bar of boost. Funny thing is, Turn the boost up to 1.4Bar and the EGT's are 950/1000. Still high I know but, is it possible that the turbines are just too small and are choking the motor thus causing high EGT's. We've troubleshot EVERYTHING and my tuner knows his ♥♥♥♥. Garage Speed Factory in Okinawa. Also, Anyone got dyno charts for twin 2530Kai turbines? Can't find any info on them and I'm considering buying.
  7. I'll be in Atlanta the last week of this month and am hoping to find a 240SX Dash (S13) to bring back with me. I'm wondering how much a new one would be from Nissan, or if I could find one in good shape locally and have it boxed up and I'll bring it back as checked luggage.   10. Thanks guys, It's fun to drive but I'll be getting bigger turbos next year. It's a 2.8L HKS Stroker motor with N1 turbines at 1.3Bar. I'll be upgrading to probably 2540 or 2530s.... It's built for twisties. Only times it scares me is down hill corners. The car is heavy.

  18. I found this video on youtube of some guy with a car that appears to be very similar to mine. He didn't get a very good launch in though. From what I can see in the video, looks like the guy needs some bigger turbos.
  19. 4.06 a gallon here still getting fuked in the asss by AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) "Saving me money everyday". Way to serve the troops :/
  20. Oh okay, I've been here since 2002 and am a lifer as well. Getting ready to build a house in 2010. Well I'm finally keeping up with the GTS-t that used to always get away from me :heh_heh: Got the following open issues with the car: Finish the body work / rust repair. Cooling -> My rear coolant hose (into the firewall) is leaking coolant. This causes my coolant level to go down then it gets progressively worse and purges. The seal on my radiator cap is fucked too. New thick radiator. Resevior system that raises the water level above the head. New cooling hoses all around. Flush the ♥♥♥♥ reallllly good. Still got mad rust coming out of the block. Front right CV Boot is cracked. Attessa pump is leaking PS Fluid. Relocate the oil cooler now that I've got the bumper that accomodates it. Move the oil filter down as well and use a quick release valve for draining. I did an oil change today and it only took 4 quarts to fill it due to oil left in the lines and oil cooler. I didn't take the cooler off and drain it so I didn't get a full change done but... next oil change the ♥♥♥♥ will be relocated. Not dealing with that. In doing my oil change I dripped some oil on my alternator (only thing I can think of that happened). Right as I finished doing my oil change the idle voltage went from its usual 14.4v (as read from the PFC) to 12.4v. I sprayed that bitch with brake cleaner then let it get hot, voltage creeped back up to 14.4 after just over an hour. Something must have been wet. Another reason to lower the oil filter (and also make room for the coolant res.). That is all for now, except obviously brakes and tires. PEACE!!!!!
