Maybe i have to wire my tach up differently. I've been using this wiring diagram. it seems pretty accurate every time i commpare it to the fsm.

My negative on the coil and pin #1 are linked or have continuity. I checked and my tach is plugged in. but im not sure if 71 240z's had resistors ill have to look. Do happen to know where they are located?

Yea ive read just about all i could find. most of them are dead ends or ive eliminated the possibly issues. Just seeing if anyone had any new suggestions.

Hey guys Im doing an l28e swap into my 71 and im not getting a negative signal to my injectors from my ecu. anyone run into this before? i tested a working ecu out of a friends and that didn't work. im getting 12v to the injectors...?

Did you ever figure this one out? Im having to the same problem. I swapped an l28e into my 71 from a 77 and im not getting squirt. My spark plugs aren't getting wet.

yeah i bought the relay and it turns out your probably right, i don't think i'll need it. i wasted 30 bucks.

the guy i got my 240z from installed an electronic pertronix ignition system with no points on the l24 that was in the car. I plan on leaving that in there and wiring it up to the l28e.

I'm swapping a the l28 into my 73 240 and i got everything except the ignition relay. I'm not sure if i even need it. The wiring is confusing the hell out of me.

orielys doesn't seem to have one. ill try snagging one from a zx at the junkyard. My wiring diagram shows a blue and red wire going from the ignition switch to the relay does that seem right? My link

Hi all. im swapping an 77" l28e into my 73" and have everything but an igntion relay, andi can't find one anywhere. Is there a way to wire this up without using an ignition relay or do i even need it. Is there be existing support already in my 240z that i can wire to and bypass this relay. anyone who has experience with this swap or who has some good advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i need an ignition relay from a 76-77 280z. I have a 77 motor so im not sure what other years ignition relays will work. thanks
