  1. I used some ear type CV boot clamp pliers. I did still flip the cages on both sides.
  2. I was having the same problem with binding on the right side of my z31t cv setup. I ended up getting another left side shaft and swapping out the shafts by popping off the inner cv of the right side shaft and putting it onto the shorter shaft from the second left side shaft. Doing this ended up shortening the whole thing about a 1/4 of an inch.
  3. After reading this thread and checking clearences on my little project (R200 3.90 w/Quaife, MM billet z31 CF adapters and z31t cv axles with cages reversed). I'm not comfortable with the possibility of binding on the passenger side either so I'm thinking about springing for another rebuilt drivers side shaft. Am I correct in my understanding that I will be able to pull the boot off the inner cv, secure the shaft in a vise and give it a few knocks with a bfh to pop it off a circlip? Do the same with the passenger side and swap the inner cv inputs around?
  4. Have you tried Courtesy Nissan Parts?http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CP&Category_Code=s30_nismo_pinion
