  1. yeah i'm a lot less hypocritical as i used to be. i bagged, tagged and photographed EVERYTHING. LOL pretty rediculous took twice as long but was well worth it when it all came back together. just erks me that this happens. the auto god's must be mad at me
  2. i hear you on that one. i pretty much set this thing up to factory specs i checked all the lashes and even cam wear. this thing came apart and went back together like when i got it. which i can only imagine it's either a spring or a valve or something. i'm taking the head off this week. preciate the comment. tony
  3. ok so i just rebuilt my sr20det. it was sitting in a buddy's back yard for about 16months. i finished the build a while ago but never really noticed anything. before i even decided to crank it over in the car, i notice on the #3 intake valve you get some added resistance and then it "springs" off the valve lash. scared the sh#@ out of me the first time trying to find the problem. but i'm positive that's NOT supposed to do that. no other lashes or lobes do this. ONLY the intake and only in it's cycle. just need idea's i'm stumped. i'm probably going to just pull the motor out of the vehicle anyways to redo tranny. then probably take the head off. please help. tony
  4. hey yasin. i typed in your name and nothing came up. i found the place i could get my an fittings from. but wasnt sure of the size. if you can post a link to that thread i'd be very thankful tony
  5. yasin that's what i wanted to hear really. i found a "diy" on making them on nico but couldnt figure out the "key words" to get one on here. how hard was it? did you need any tools besides a cutting tool? tony
  6. honestly ya, it's really just to clean up the bay some more. i'm going to need to do this again when i get my inline fuel rail so i figured i might as well get some practice. but i didnt think someone would make that big a deal of it. so i would need to tap an inverted flare fitting and a banjo bolt to run a -4 fitting through there?
  7. i was doing the intake/exhaust on my l28et today. and also fitting my n42 intake on and while the manifold was out i took the oil line to a local race shop here in town. anyways, long story short. the guy flipped out and wanted to rig something up because it was "some metric size" i dont know much about AN and NPT fittings and what not. but what would i need to get this line made from the turbo banjo bolt to the oil pressure sender? if anyone has any links to premade units i'd be interested. tony
  8. ok guys heres the situation at hand. i checked the oil dipstick today while i was putting some gas in her and i noticed it was thin. i smelled it and i wreaked of gas. i know that if i'm rich the residual gas can dilute oil in the combustion chamber and cause excessive ring wear i'm not sure if it is the injectors or not aside from the ether test whats another good test?
  9. right. that's exactly what i was planning on doing i was going to use ether instaed of carb cleaner. should be a little more "reactive" idk. lol
  10. hey well i sprayed around the intake and injectors. the car bogged down really fast. i'm sure theres a leak in there. the injectors WERE removed at one point i think it could be leaking by either the injectors or the intake manifold gasket.
  11. absolutely duo. yeah i'm getting another CHTS just to be safe. i've had enough water temp issues with this car, i dont doubt that that one probably got burnt out. also plan on changing the o2 along with all that. i figured it's been in there long enough and it's about time. also as far as the fuel pressure regulator, i'm planning on getting a pallnet fuel rail and was going to change it then, so if it IS bad hopefully it'll last another few weeks. *shrugs shoulders*
  12. lol its cool man. a lot of this came in handy either way. kind of gave me a train of thought, so to speak. still have got to work on her but i at least have an idea now.
  13. so are they bullets from the cylinder sensor? is that what you're saying? hmm if so i didnt notice them. lol i'll take a look before work tomorrow. the new plugs should bide my time for a little while, but i really dont want to run it like this. thanks nav. i do appreciate that. and silver, man i totally get what ur saying. i could have sworn by that one wire sensor. but who friggen knows. lol but yeah i'm going to spend my next day off gutting all the sensors and connectors for scum and grime. hopefully i get what i want out of her. thumbs up.
  14. ok well like i said prior. it's pretty rough and it's pretty recent. so i may just take a swing at the o2 i figured the ecu's on the zxt's were a little diff. but i really am not sure with these cars.
  15. yeah my injector connectors were pretty raged so i cleaned those up pretty quick. i had an old timer who was a factory mech at nissan when these were big. he told me to use battery cleaner and "fabricate" some tools out of a paper clip. he said he made a set in the 80's but time took hold and he lost em' lol. not so much about top end. but it's the torque i'm worried about. i dont seem to have the "power over" like i used to. i put her in a few events when i first got her. and what a beast. it was EXTREMELY fun. that's what i've been working to get back. but def a good add there hyuri.
  16. yeah dusel its a zxt. i have yet to pressurize ANYTHING. so i'm a little behind. i havent checked fuel pressure. so it could just be too much pressure. but i havent ever taken a look at the o2 sensor either. theres plenty of things to do but i'm def keeping an eye at the cylinder sensor.
  17. naviathan are you talking to me or silver? lol cause i said i checked the sender. i cleaned the conectors and they were, in my opinion, in good shape. i've changed the sender i mean the only other thing i can think is possible the sender got too hot and shorted out. i can get another one in a day. i may just do that and see what happens. but i still want to change the coil. and 10 years is a long time, and i do appreciate you helping out nav. but if it's one thing ive learned in my brief lifetime of auto's is anything could be problematic even if technically it "shouldnt" be. so i can see where silver is coming from. tony
  18. yeah well i pulled all the plugs and yup. all fouled out. so i got a new set. gapped and in. i also went ahead and ordered a new coil. putting that in today. had to make an emergency run to work after i put the plugs in though. didnt want to, to be honest. she did that weird predet thing out the intake a few times. low end and accel still seem VERY low. so i'm really not sure. thinking some of this is possible vacuum. i'm scouring the intake for anything and everything. think i might be having a problem with thie intake gasket to. i've gat an N42 intake i've been wanting to put on and i might just do that, when i decide to put on the new gasket. any thoughts?
  19. i'll need to take pics anyways. i had my valve cover gasket changed and powder coated the cover. but theres a one wire temp switch that was a bullet connector. the car sputtered really rich and wouldnt go past a certain low rpm. i cleaned that and it was fine. might have been coincidence but seemed like that was doing SOMETHING other than just a the temp gauge. i'll know more tomorrow. thanks for the input guys. p.s now when i cruise its getting a raspy gurgling almost sound out of the down pipe before it shoots a flame. really need to fix this. want to slide.
  20. well i cleaned the terms with battery cleaner and a thumb tack. still does the same thing. i took it off completely and it dies even more rich. any other ideas. tonight i'm taking off the spark plugs and doing a compression test as well as double checking ignition timing. whats the mark supposed to be at? how many degrees btdc?
  21. that's the one on the spark plug side, right? im pretty sure i changed that one when i first got it but i will double check the connections.
  22. so my s130 has this problem it burns SUPER rich and my temp gauge doesnt come on. like it doesnt have the lit outline like it used to. just black in that one spot. i'm not so much worried about it not lighting up as i am that that sensor on the water outlet with the one wire isnt sending a signal. and it may be acting like a cold start ALL THE TIME! i.e. dumping gas? i may be crazy but i have no low end torque and i have to keep the rpms up to get it to spool after 25+ its fine. except for the fire balls it continually spews. thanks for the info guys. tony
  23. yeah ive got the p90a head that sounds about right monz. im planning on refitting most of the lines in there for stainless and AN
  24. good idea but i have no clue. i'd like to know as well now that you mention it.
  25. i bought my s130 from a buddy of mines. it was from b.c. and was trailered over to sc. he left it in his back yard all through our junior and senior year. and it was not running for a few years before that. i sold my 94 acura integra and then asked if i could pick up that project. i spent 200 bucks to buy it off of him and about another 100 bucks in tune up parts and a few hours to get it running. i drove it home that weekend. currently bone stock. well i mean its the stock l28et and i love her!
