  1. In all honesty I have never been more confused in my entire life as to which part to get. There needs to be some extreme clarification done to the stickies as to which part and how much modification is necessary before this is "bolt on." Some of it is very misleading. Anyway I watched some videos of the conversion, looked again through 2 million different pictures, and piston sent me a picture of his also. I am convinced what he has is what I need so if we can settle on price i'll buy and if it turns out to be completely wrong, they will be listed here for someone else and their application.
  2. Well apparently I am misinformed and piston's brackets are what I need unless I want to remove the stub. That of course is something I don't mind skipping. So i'll send him a PM and see if he can set me up. Thanks.
  3. Yeah I still need these but I was going with the 280zx calipers instead of the maxima, hence I need the unmodified brackets iirc. Thanks for the offer though.
  4. Looking for 85-88 Maxima rear caliper brackets both sides. PM me with a price or email jhtumblin@gmail.com Thanks
  5. I assume that you released the vacuum in the brake system first while the car was turned off, otherwise it will slow the fluid to a drip. Other than that make sure both reservoirs are full and that you bleed the right caliper first (it's farthest from the reservoir). If you still don't get the pressure you're looking for, you probably have a kink in your hose somewhere.
  6. OK here is my review after I finally received my panel. In all fairness if I'm going to come complain I am gonna post a follow up. I got the piece packaged just the same as the others have, the shipping was surprisingly fast after Paulo actually did ship. He sent it out on Saturday and it arrived on Monday (USPS trying to compete I suppose). I was worried about the packaging as well but pulled the panel and inspected it, the finish looked decent, not a top quality part but for the price....it's fine. Mine looks much better than the pictures others have posted, I will try to get a couple pics for you guys but no promises since I don't have a camera readily available. On to the fitment. The part is by no means bolt on and go, it's close but did require about an hour of filing especially around the taillight chrome area to make sure things went in right. On the bright side it could have been more. After I got that sorted out, it's time to get the lights in and put it on the car. This is the tightest fitting panel I have ever seen. I swear it was going to crack on me trying to get the holes lined up and it still may due to body flex, I will have to drive around a bit to see. Several of the studs (aka screws attached with epoxy) to the backside of the panel just broke off during the process and I would suggest that Paulo find an alternative method for attaching these. I improvised and finally got it on there. Conclusion: The panel looks good and is worth the money if you get one like mine. Paulo needs to continue to work on the design a bit, mainly the studs and the some of the interior mold. As suggested before shipping needs to be quicker WHILE manufacturing a quality part and it's OK to charge more if you need to spend more on packing for shipment if it will better protect the panel. Anyway I hope this helps and I appreciate Paulo for holding up his end of the deal.
  7. I too purchased a panel from Paulo back on 7/4/09 through ebay. I was a month out from requiring it for my project so when he emailed me 1.5 weeks after purchase saying the part would ship on a Thursday, I thought no big deal. Anyway, here we are a month + since sale date, he has emailed me 3 times and returned a message on ebay always promising shipping in a couple days, the latest was this past Thursday. Still no tracking number as promised, I doubt it's in the mail. I still would like to have this part, but Paulo man, this is ridiculous. If you require a few weeks lead time then be up front about it. If you can't produce with demand then don't sell until you have parts ready. You could make a lot more money with good business practice.
