I have been doing my research and part of that research is to ask questions. Besides, what the point of having the site if you can't post questions and learn from each other? What I'm learning about you is that you have little or no patience for those who seek to learn about the Z car that we all have a passion for or you choose to only help those who you believe is worthy of precious little knowledge!

OK, ShaggyZ, aka Thread Police!!!! I had no intention on making this a primary thread for turbo swat Q/A. I had planned on doing my homework before I did any mods to my Z, which in my opinion that's why I ask the question in the first place. Just doing my homework!

Thanks John. I really appreciate it. You have just helped me make up my mind. I think I'm going to look for a l28et or turbo parts from a l28et. Do you know where I can find a complete setup kit?

What are these companies for? Seriously, are there any mods I can do to get a better performance out of this motor. I'm not looking for a miracle; just want a little more hp.

I have an 82 280zx with 84K original miles. I wanted to do a turbo swap but before I do I want to know is there a way I can get 200hp out of this motor without a turbo?

I don't have a garage to do the work to the car. It's all being done in my driveway until I get it to the paint shop. Did I mention this is my first time doing this.

I received my MSA Type III air dam today. The installation instructions are vague. Has anyone install this air dam on a 81-83 280ZX. If so, could you post some better instructions and pics? This is my first project car and this is what I have done so far: New floor pans and support rails Repaired the rocket panels Repaired all the rust spots Removed the rear bumper Changed the interior to black Seats and dashboard are being re-upholstered I will post pics soon.
