Hi all, got my Z today. Its a 1972 240z / datsun orange/original motor and tranny..great condition. One small rust spot where the hatch meets the deck and one small one behind drivers door/in front of rear wheel. Checked the rest of the car carefully, all good and straight. Got the original title from the original owner...wow what a find. The title is little 5"x5"...i guess they were little like that in california back in 72? Anyway, will be looking into a LT1 swap from an IROC....nice to be here. Great place to learn.

The 260z has a stronger frame than the 240z and it is still smog exempt is it not? (1974) Wouldnt the 260 be a better candidate for a v8 swap than a 240 ??

If your going to swap in a v8/w an auto tranny does it make it easier if your z was originally an automatic?
