  1. D shell? um... I believe D-shells are the connectors at the end of a VGA cable.
  2. well i bought it. The guy was ridiculous. He had an E31 built head he said he was going to put on ebay, tried to get him to through it in, but he knew what it was. But 300 bucks, at least worth it for the webers and the chrome header. Also, the colors are just paint coats, someone did all the body prep. I think it was worth it.
  3. yeah. better than my current one. but paint and body work isn't a factor, except for the amount of rust this one is free of compared to my current one.
  4. Edit: maybe not so much. Good thing that guy is staying in his back yard
  5. something like this? I think this is what you mean by "a little groove or indentation instead of a full deep gate". This is for a Porsche 928
  6. Phoenex, safe working environment for the telephone industry.
  7. I think so. Found this for sale for 300 bucks, at least worth it for the carbs. Also, need to replace the floor boards on my current resto, I think im going to part my current car and use this as the chassis. Check the pictures
  8. What? Maybe their site is off then, because http://www.victoriabritish.com/car_cat_page.htm only has MG, Triumph, Austin Healey, and Sunbeam catalogs sorry about the confusion
  9. They don't even have Z parts. Not if I can find door skins, hence the point of this thread. But it looks like that will be my only choice.
  10. i must be retarded, but i can not find this part. What should i search for, just "lip kit"?
  11. Yeah Washington. Anybody know where these lips can be purchased?
  12. Oh, i meant the blow off valve with the looped hose running to it, could it be a recirculating blow off valve?
  13. Hmm, isnt the wastegate mounted on the left intake runners, opposite of that gauge? Could it be a bypass valve(recirculating blow off valve)? I am about to begin building my draw through turbo on my L28e. This information is all really helpfull. Thanks
  14. Oz you are awesome! This stuff is hard to find information on. Bellow the looped line he has another line going to the intake manifold, any ideas? And how is a blow off valve possible in this setup? Wouldnt it blow off air/fuel mixture?
  15. Thanks Oz, do you know about the plumbing on the manifold? On the firewall side, what is that line looped back to? besides the pcv valve, what is the rest of the plumbing?
  16. Dave smiths system is slick. Does anyone know where he got his intake manifold? or perhaps he built it, any input on that? Also, can anybody tell me about the plumbing for a draw through like Daves? Or a web site with some information maybe?
  17. Another site, www.carcraftinc.com/turbo1.htm also offers the weber manifold, but only in the single variety. Can anyone explain any problems they might see in runing two of those manifolds and piping them with a Y piece of silicon turbo hose?
  18. and be like everyone else that does carb'd turbo. I know efi is easier and better, gets more power. And blow through my turbo will last longer, but pressurized carbs? and fuel pressure regulation? no thanks. Good book though. Another question, Has anyone done draw through with dual webers? i am wondering on the design or where to purchase of the mount for the carbs that adapts to the turbo, like this(excuse my crude drawings please) or http://www.vwtrendsweb.com/tech/0211vwt_turbo_volkswagens/photo_12.html, like this except for dual weber
  19. schwiplarkin, did you buy or build the intake on your carb'd turbro set up? I have all the parts to do the same set up, except the intake. If you built that, do you have any design perameters? or a resource site? anything? Carb'd turbo is a mysterious machine.
  20. Where can I find reproduction, outer door skins for my 1973 240z? NOT, the interior door panels that people seem to call door skins. I am looking for anywhere that sells actual sheet metal outer door skins. Is this an item that is being reproduced? or at least is selling used door skins? Thanks
