no problem scott----2 turbo'd lq9, t56, r200-- custom driveshaft fabbing the mounts, all of them... need info on tuning stock ecm for 10lbs boost, ive been lurkin here for bout 8years playin w z's bout 14 hey yessir-----check ebay out on those, if you live near one of those yards its almost stealing. im gettin qouted 1300 for plenum to pan on a 70k 5.3 locally---dont think so lmao

i only want 10lbs boost max from two so those are dependable in cheap i thought if you ran two will be cleaner/ more effecient install...

also what transcombo you thinkin? t56 seem smartest for me since stock torque limit is 450lbft.... will know more on this later im researchin t56 rite now, cheap its not though am researching swappin input shafts from other makes---cobra--viper

been on ls1tech all day figuring out what my small mind can lmao..., atleast when it comes to the routing of the turbos, im a pipefitter that specializes in sanitary in-place weliding stainless steel. were coverd there no prob, but the more i look at the layout of our engines, twins off of the truck manifolds right into the intercoolers seems dead perfect the more i look. should fit no prob but these are only guesses for sure. im thinkin that 8psi is exactly what i want and 2 small twins, think stock eclipse/evo, would be a way cleaner install than a cross over to a single but lag wont be an issue either way should be plenty more than i need. what up with stock ecm controlling turbo'd motor? been into bikes for swhile in everything has piggyback fuel managers.... btw factoryinternals look good for 600 easy, this is nuts cuz we can set for higher boost levels in higher gear/rpms easily.... i got 1400 bucks to do this so this one will be penny pincher for sure!!!

That is so awesome, i just became a member of ls1tech right now researching the same swap into my 77 this winter. Im only shooting for 425lbft cuz keeping stock r200 n rear.... have you found how to tune these things w turbos? also need to know boost limits on stock internals??? when it comes ot the install im sure this has been done sucsessfully before. would aslo love keepin my stock heads like i said i want 450 lbft n 550 hp if stock rear can cope!!! If you want to learn start of simple by using donor parts, get in contact with the ppl around you that do z's. You wont need to worry about using different metals n such on your panels if they came of that car, just a thought and good luck! Don't want to discourage you I just hate to see someone else go thru the b.s. I did! If you have a tech school close to you, a trade school even, most of them will let you bring your own project in to work on and sign up! You have someone there you can always refer to who teaches so theyre patint and if your nice you even may get to use the place on nites and weekends, makes a big differece if you dont have those tools at hand! i didnt say it cant be done, but by a novice the task is a little more serious. As i said im no master bodyman but this is my 4th z and starting w a clean shell is a great deal more simple. Depending on what color you would go with will determine how much will show though. The darker the color the more i would go with as nice a shell as could be found. I did a model A last summer and used the new self building primers. I'm not sure if you've seen these from the factory but they were something of potato skin (lumpy to say th least)! Just know that you will become very good friends with your block sander!

I went thru 3 shells before I found a decent one. Im no master bodyman by any stretch, but the man who helps me retired from 40+ yrs in buffalo ny owning 2 shops and retireing in ky. You always end up with crap if you start from it and the metal in these cars is not great to start with. The only way I've found to repair panels on these cars is with my tig welder and clay on each side and it still distorts like crazy! Take the man's advice start with a clean shell. Best luck rk

Hey guys first off been viewing this site for years and first posting, thx for all the info its awesome. Ive had my 77 280z for 5 years and im going to do the v8 swap. i have the z, a nice 350 i built a piece at a time and no trans! where can I find a t56 thati can buy without selling a kidney?!? I've looked in the local yards and nothing.... any help is greatly appreciated... Its holding back my project because im a college student and very poor, im not sure I would pay $2000+ for a new one anyhow!!!! joker
