Im looking for a good l28 or l28 turbo that runs in the Ky area or a good block I can put my parts on.

I will take the head off and see I hope its that but if I put oil in the cylinder and did a compression test and it pushed 55-75 psi unless it pushing the oil into the head and seal it?? I realy thing its rings but I hope maybe something like that is wrong I would be realy happy.

Looking for a rebuild kit for my 76 280z l28e.(rings,bearings,gaskets)

It has very little ticking in the exhaust, no milky coolant,no coolant off that I can tell.I did a wet compression test this morning and the compression jumped to 55 psi a couple of times so im guessing bad rings. This will be the 3rd time I have had this head off and yes I have replaced the head gasket each time and the head bolts the last time.

Im looking for a L28 short block fresh and or with low miles or just a complete good engine in the Ky area. I have 2 parts cars 1976 280z 4 speed and a 1977 280z 2+2 automatic but both engines are gone.

After checking compression on my 280z, I found that the #1 cylinder had maybe 5 psi of compression. What should I do now??

Good idea maybe I should check the compression. Im pretty sure its gitting spark plug fire.

Ok my 76 280 is running ok but I found that 2 injectors (1,4) were not pulsing. I checked them with a node light and they are all working so I replaced the injectors that were bad no change. If I pull the plugs on the injectors that aren't pulsing while its running nothing happens but if I pull the others they make the engine have a rough idle.Any ideas?

Im looking for a company that makes a rear hatch panel for my 76 280z the panel thats above the tail lights with the latch hole.PM me please.

I may have seat rails from my 75 280z if the seats I order work ok. Will a window regulator from a 77 2+2 work if so I have one? I have 2 almost complete parts cars a 4 speed 76 280z and an automatic 77 280z 2+2.If my regulator in my 75 is ok I can sale the ones in the 76.

My second Summit Racing pump took a dump after being ran for week the first one got clogged with rust but this one just quit pumping the pump runs but it has no pressure.So I called the company and they told me to send it to them and they would warranty it but I think the pump was to much for my car and thats why it went out so when I get it back its for sale.Has anyone had problems out of these pumps?

I havent bought it yet I think this set does both 280z and 2+2 but its on ebay for like $145 he has a few sets.

What do you guys think about this carpet set it looks like alot of peices?Or has anyone bought a set like this?

none of the lines ar clogged I have checked all of them I have tried 2 fuel pressure regulators and the same thing happens I even have a after market fpr. I have a ground wire that goes to the fuel pump that dont look so hot,so im redoing that.But I dont see how that could cause this problem unless its back feeding and causing the pump to work harder. The pump runs and gets voltage only when the engine is running. The voltage from the alternator is round 14.4 and with the headlights on about 13.8. Could the ecm cause this ??

Ok so my 76 280z fuel pressure is through the roof and Iv been scratching my head because I cant figure out what is causing the problem.Then my nephew set in the driver seat and started the car while I checking the fuel pressure,he desided to turn on the head light and the fuel pressure droped and idle smoothed out. So I had him turn the lights off an the fuel pressure spikes and then rough idle. The alternator puts out 14.2 volts and the battery voltage is 13.2. Any ideas?

I replaced all the lines even checked the metal lines air flowes through them.what if I put a resistor at the fuel pump because if I unplug the fuel pump relay the fuel pressure goes down then the car runs fine until no fuel. I failed to say that it has an aftermarket summit racing fuel pump.

Possibly, but I havent seen those go bad yet, Im not saying it isnt possible.
