Yeah I needed a new e-brake cable, and was shocked at the prices. When I finally found one for the cheapest price, $150 i think, I bought it and never received it, the people at NissanParts.cc decided to refund me and not tell me that they didnt have the cable until I had to ask a week later. The best bet is to look for someone parting out a car and ask them if they have the cable, thats what i did anyways.

That the EGR (exhaust gas recycle) that recycles the exhaust back into the cylinder, thats to lower your cylinder temp, and lower your NoX emissions.

Im no expert but the smog pump shouldn't really be affecting your performance, as I understand it the only thing it does is inject air into your exhaust manifold through the air galley. You can remove it, but it supposedly helps with emissions. The hose that goes into the smog pump normally comes from the original air filter housing. You could probably retrofit a small filter onto the intake of the pump if you really wanted to use it. It looks like the air pump belt is connected with the A/C compressor, black dragon sells them for $5 If you have old hoses on the car I would replace them anyways, they might fail at anytime.

Well I found that the visual inspection cut-off is at 1975 so barely slide by on that one. I also found that they don't test for NoX, theres some more good news. I figure i'll pass since I have the carbs tuned pretty well and I still have the original air injection set up installed.

Okay so when i got my late 260Z the EGR and all of the other emissions stuff was taken off of my car, and now that it might see the street again sometime in the following year, do you guys think that i can lean out my engine and put on a 3 way catalytic converter and still pass? im in Tucson AZ
by the way the car has 4 screw SUs

To start off i have a late 74 260Z (12/74 build date) that im working on getting going. Its been sitting for over 13 years. My grandpa has decided to help out and bought me a complete fuel injection manifold from a 280Z (75' i think). Now I know that i would need a new head or notch out my old one, and i would need to run bigger fuel lines and a surge tank, but what else do I need? I want to go with Megasquirt, but im really new at FI. Can someone help me out and tell me what more I will need (FI parts-wise) to get this going?
