  1. I would try to find a 302 out of a 89-92 mustang. The came factory with roller cams, and trw forged pistons. Stock block 302's will hold up to around 500-550 hp, and they love nitrous/boost! And either the AOD or the T5 are great tranny's.
  2. They both have really fast z's. Whiteboy's car runs 5.50's 1/8 mile on the bottle, and his dads car ran a 6.20 on motor(and he still has a 250 shot on top of that).
  3. Has anyone ever sea foamed a carbed car? I am thinking about doing it to my 72z. Any input or suggestions would be great. Mike
  4. Found this on ebay and thought I would share it with you guys. I would buy it but he wont ship it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__Nissan-300zx-Twin-Turbo-Rear-End-Differential-Sub-Frame_W0QQitemZ110253108676QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20TruckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQadiZ2865QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110253108676&
  5. Ok I am in the process of building my first z car. I have a 72 240z that is getting a new LS1 with ls6 cam, and a ls6 intake. I am using a 4l60e tranny with a 3200 stall. I am also going to run a 150 dry shot to help it run a little better:mrgreen:. My question is I want to stay IRS so what will I need to do to my r200 (3:90 LSD)so I can handle the daily driving conditions, and a few passes down the track every now and then? I am sure this is a commen question but I have been lurking in the "Search" area for weeks and still cannot make any sense of what is needed. Any info would be great. Thanks Mike
  6. He is already a member of the site, he goes by the name Lason.
  7. Why not go with a 5.8L 351W. It is almost the same size as the 302, and you can make tons of power on a stock block. my last 408 stroker (1969 block) made 575/582 on motor and 788/772 on a 200 shot fogger. 500 is the MAX you want to run on a stock 302 block, I have split stock 302 all the way in half before! For the money I would go 351w. Just my .02c
  8. I just bought my first z car. It is a 72 240z, and it is all stock. I am looking for new wheels but do not know what offset/bs to get, or how big I can go without using flares. I found these MSR wheels i like: SIZEFINISHPATTERNOFFSETBSMCAP #LOADSHIP WT 17x7.5Super Finish Silver 4 on 4.5 +42 mm 5.84 23179-09 1400 lbs.24 lbs or these Size: 17x7 about 2" Lip. Bolt Pattern: 4x100 and 4x114.3 (4.5) Offset: +40mm Weight: 20.8 lbs each Aluminum Center Caps Included Require Tuner Lug Nuts (Not Included)
  9. These wheels were on the car when I bought it. I want to sell or trade them but dont know what they would be worth? I am doing a ls1 swap so I am looking for a set of wheels with some meat, without using fender flares.
