  1. I have a 260 that I want to change the front to the 240 small bumper and signals. I need the pieces to convert this . I need the front turn assys and the mount panels. I am going with a front air dam so I am also looking for the narrow style front bumper and brackets

    Hey, can y'all tell me what years the q45 had the six bolt flanges. I am going with the AZC axles and I need to find a q45 diff with LSD and the six bolts. 90 to 96. Is this correct?
  6. Thanks for all of the tips. I don't plan on taking them off. I could and yes it would be a job, but no more than putting them on. This is what I do. Fortunately I own a body shop and we have done many on other cars just not on the z. This is my fifth z and I wanted something just a little bit different. I don't need any more travel just a little wider to keep some if the crap from flying on the side of the qtrs. (some). Everyone who has come into my shop have all looked and knew something was different but really couldn't figure it out at first glance. Just a little wider tire and the Arizona Z Car track pack and she will be good to go. If not.... I'll fix it. That what all of us do. Right?

  8. I guess what I am trying to accomplish is just wanting to have a little wider tire without sticking out of the top of the qtr arch. The good thing is, I can test fit my tires before paint and if it is not what I want I can take them off and go another route. I did not make the lip any wider to the inside. I will try to post some pics with the tires I have now .

  13. I am trying to post these pics and IT WILL NOT LET ME haha I know, I am no computer wiz but, I really want ya'll to see these. I am picking them from a folder I have for my build . Any other suggestions?
  14. I wanted to flare the qtrs but didn't want to cut them and wanted a one off type flare. I started messing a round with some rolled metal, probably around 12 gauge or so. I tacked them around the wheel house then strongly panel bonded them in.I then use a fiberglass resin to work it out more before working my bondo. I have very little bondo on them mainly just for my final shaping. then a coat of poly, these are ready for primer. I am very happy with the result and I now I can run a little more meat in the back...these are very strong.I think I could hang from them. I have some good pics that I can't post help!!!
  15. Hey guys, I have a 260 I am doing an ls1/t56 swap in. I have been concerned with booking it up to the supposedly r200 diff that had been (supposedly) put in this car with an l28 that came out of a78 280 Unfortunately today, after some research, I find out it is the r180. Now I know I am going to do something different. I will have around 350 to 400 hp and I want something that is not going to be a continual problem. I would like to find a complete assy. R230, q45 ???? What are some pros and cons? Help!!
  16. I would like to come over and see it. I have only seen pictures. I own a paint and body shop in Terrell. The body work is in process and I about ready to paint the engine bay but I want to get my motor set in it to set the mounts then pull it out for paint. What mount kit did you use. I may have some questions as time goes....
  17. Hey, can ya'll help me out? I found a really good deal on an L76 out of an 09 pontiac g8. Are there any differences or any issues between an L76 AND LS1 as far as doing a swap in a 260z..I know it is a different engine but I wanted to know if the t56 would mount to it with out major issues. I spoke with John at JCI and he said his mounts would work fine but i would need to put a camaro oil pan on it for clearance purpose, Are there any other major issues I should be concerned about?
  18. I am building a 260z and I need most of the interior trim plastic.Where is the best place to look look for this stuff.I have found a piece here and there.Is this how I will need to buy it or is there someone out there who can get most of this stuff?
  19. I am new here and have read some really interesting post. I, like most of you, have always been a Z man.This is my 5th one. But with this one I wanted it to be the ONE!!! For the last twenty or so years I have wanted a v8 Z. its really cool to see all of you that share the same thoughts and dreams. So here we go. I recently bought a 74 260.I probably paid a little too much for it but its about 95% rust free and the suspension has been done and the rear brakes have been converted to disc. I am in the process of getting the body in shape and getting the engine area ready to paint. I have an Ls1 out of a later model vette being prepped and cleaned and a t56 six speed to make it scoot. here are some photos of the progress to this point.I will post more pics during the build. I have have bought the frame rails to strengthen the chassis,will install in the next few days.I have not decided on the mount kit yet. I'm torn between JTR,CX RACING. Do any of you have a recommendation on this?It would be truly appreciated.

  22. Ok just bought a 73 240 and I want to do an engine swap. I have read so many opinions on do this, do that, don't do this and don't do that. I own a body shop and I know how and what I am going to do to the body. I need opinions on the engine swap. I want something I can get in everyday and go as far as I want and I want it to get there fast. I am not trying to build a track car. thinking of an Ls1 or Ls2. I have also read alot about RB25, 26, 30. I know it is a matter of opinion but I want to know the level of difficulty and part availability. Also I would like to know if anyone out there has ever swapped with a nissan 5.6 Titan ... Just need some help
